Here is a Fairmount spot that seems to get better and better on every visit. We had a 6:00 P.M. reservation for 4 on a Friday evening and we were glad we got in when we did! By 7:30 the bar was packed and there was a wait for tables. The food was great! The Flank Steak melted in your mouth as did the Filet Mignon. The Crab Cake and Seafood Pasta were good, although the pasta was uncharacteristically a tad overdone. Good Martinis and the Signature drinks: Water of Life and Last Word were both quite good. We strongly recommend you try the Cauliflower and Chickpea Appetizer – it’s Fab! This is a fine restaurant that keeps improving on its menu and is well worth a visit.

Seafood pasta is amazing!! Good atmosphere, good service.. Very glad I ran into this place. Pricey (~$20 entrees), but so very worth it.

The crispy tuna was delicious. That's the only thing correct I received from the waitress. I asked for a rosé. Instead she said she didn't have rose but had a sparkling rose. However they had regular rose she just wanted to secretly up sell. I ordered a Caesar salad but was charged for a Greek salad not the Caesar I ordered. Be careful ordering the food was fresh but I hardly got what I actually said and ordered. I can't say the service was actually listening and giving me what I wanted to pay for.

A unique atmosphere and plenty of outdoor seating. Really enjoyed eating outside. Food was ok and there were some different dishes to try. Service was slow, at least for dining outside. The draft list is not extensive

I was eating my dinner - which first let me just call out whatever Penn Student was paid to write a clearly way to eloquent and verbose personal review - as the individual author used the Google Username "Penn Apetit" but wrote a clearly subjective and solo opinionated summary of her dining experience and was dumb enough to reveal that fact by signing her review "--Abigail Koffler" (which indicates a rookie diner at best with a sub-par knowledge of the restaurant industry as she has yet to even learn how one writes a restaraunt review for a magazine not for what one could only assume was in exchange for some personal gain) clearly using the Penn Mag's name to suggest it was a review by an objective group highly cultured Penn students who coloborated using their respective subjectively opinionated yet elite diner perspectives to come up with a summary that encompasses all said experiences providing anyone who is curious a very clean but very real review of a local Philly restaurant - okay also, in defense of Penn students - this Abigail chick clearly is a solo act and I question her actual Penn connections for her offensively stupid journalistic misshaps which I would bet no Penn student is dumb enough to either approve of or commit...I digress because this review was just raving about how Fare is SOOO organic and Eco- friendly that 'they even used recycled polyester carpet!' Okay, who would cite that fact or notice that fact if they were trying to enjoy and taste but really experience the food and dining atmosphere of the place. But what classy diner with a pallet worth respecting at all knows what polyester carpet even looks like - ew let alone RECYCLED - but the concept itself as decorative in a restaurant makes me yearn for freeze dried astronaut food over whatever polyester recycled organic crap is served here. Anyway let me cut to the chase, I was there eating and I actually heard a server approacha customer and confront them about how they were dissatisfied with the tip left for them (which this server let me just pray is family or else these owners don't know how to find even remotely socially or mentally able waiters to work at their restaurant). As for organic and Eco-friendly - the party being harassed about the tip had a diner who was blind. So how can anyone say that perhaps if this world saving genuine society embracing place had Braille receipts as a part of their heroic effort but also to be compliant with the laws of the ADA (note to self - find an ADA attorney to take this place down on that note) to cater to the diners that leave tips but can't read computer print out receipts because they are blind. So all I have to say is I am watching twitter for this law suit against discrimination and straight up bullying of disabled patrons to be made and this Penn student Abigail publish a public apology for jeopardizing the reputation of all Penn students for simply just not being capable of being that dumb - or remotely close to the level of idiot she reached. Go to Whole Foods or something.
