I love this place! It's really nice and the drinks are amazing. Normally I am fine with normal mixed drinks and budlights but every once and a while its nice to treat yourself to a great well made old fashioned or another one of their specialty drinks.

I took one star away because it can get a little crowded on the weekends and is a little pricey but overall is a great spot and worth checking out.

The beer is nuts here. The cheese pairings are second to none. The prices reflect all of this. Very expensive for what you are getting. Great every once in a while, but not an everyday bar.

Update 6/6/13 - I went back again yesterday and it has gotten even better. It's currently Philly Beer week, and their lineup was GREAT! The service was slow, but the waiter was pretty swamped. The beers cost about $7 per pint, which is very average! I would highly recommend this bar if you like great beer.

Forget the food, it's not that great in my opinion. This place is all about the drinks.

I've been here twice over the past 4 months, it has been fully satisfying each time. The rustic old-tyme feel is great, and their selection of beers is good. I loved their duck-stuffed quail, and their platter of meats/breads/ and pickled vegetables.

The live music is always good, but extremely loud for such an intimate place (it's not exactly a concert hall). If you're on a date, and the live band starts playing, you can forget about any further conversation, unless you both know sign language... The only other negative thing was; my date and I were sitting by the wall with the shelves of beer bottles stacked to the ceiling, when the band started playing, the bottles, which were unsecured and on short shelves above some of the tables, started falling and smashing on the floor. One came withtin about a foot of my date's head (after which we promptly moved, and they were falling on the band as well. Those bottles need to be secured, why they werent secured in the first place is a mystery to me.

All in all, i would definitely go back again, but request to not sit under the glass bottle wall.

well, we never got any food or drinks here because the menu was too scarce that we didn't find anything we wanted. we ordered our drinks but after waiting twenty minutes for them, we decided to just leave and go someplace else. nobody even said anything to us as we walked out, and the place only had a handfull tables on a sunday evening. not sure why they were so incompetent. if we ever do go back it will be just for drinks at the bar!
