This used to be a good restaurant with excellent food, but not anymore. Arrived about 7:00 on Monday, two people at the bar, no table seated. OMG, thought that we had walked into the wrong restaurant....we had! Offered a wine menu, selected a wine which had been stored at too high a temperature and was ruined. Offered the menu, wow nothing on it that I couldn't have prepared with scraps from my refrigerator. Completely different menu than listed on their web site. Even the calamari was frozen! The waiter was very good and tried, but he had noothinnnggg to work with. We left without ordering (nothing on the menu worth ordering). This place is finished, don't bother to park.

We drive from our home in The Woodlands at least twice a month to have Sunday brunch here! The entire place just absolutely rocks - literally, they have a DJ that spins live in the main dining room. Usually there is around 8-10 of us and we have not once had to wait for accomadations to be made as long as we get there around 11:30 -after that time there is a small line that accrues at the door, people don't want to leave! Picture a very nice patio on front and a shady courtyard patio out back,DELICIOUS food (my very favorite is the Cajun Eggs Benedict with a crawfish sauce) very southern chic'. The best part of all.. hold onto your hats.... a bottomless mimosa, yea.... bottomless for around $12 and they make them a perfect 80-20 just like I like them. We always have a blast, the waitstaff are extremely nice and always seem like they are having just as much fun. The manager makes continuous circuit around talking to everyone, and even the owner is regularly seen serving drinks or helping out with the breakfast buffet. If you are looking for a different non-stuffy place for Sunday brunch you can't beat it!

Experience on a Monday evening - only 6 tables are occupied (about 80% of the restaurant is empty):
Drink specials on Mondays are great. The food - not so much. The service: Worst in Houston.

Wait after ordering:
1 Hour to get a salad!!!!
Another 30 minutes for the main course
Another 20 minutes for the check
Total time spent in restaurant (waiting for our food): 2 hours 45 minutes

The waitstaff was friendly and kept our drinks filled but somehow the overall restaurant operation is a complete joke. The worst restaurant experience I have had in a long time.

The waiter informed us twice that the dish I ordered was not up to their standards (steak and then red fish); however the final dish that was brought out was only ok and was not as advertised on the menu (white rice with a leaf of spinach instead of a spinach risotto.

The food is ok but it will take ALL NIGHT to get it. If you go to Ferrago, clear your shedule; you will need hours for 2 simple courses.

Only go to this place for the dollar well drinks or wine specials - the food is average and very overpriced and the kitchen service is in shambles.

Well...what did I get for 21 buckaroonies?...a buffet that kept running out, dirty plates, a 20 min wait for silverware, 25 min wait for a bloody mary....our party was pretty fed up, the hubs was about to walk across the street...the manager, Patrick wouldn't even take anything off due to poor experience...in fact he ran outta there like he was on fire and into his car speeding away....i yi yi....its safe to say we will NEVER be back....and they claim to be #1 for brunch on their website...FAIL. When I originally wrote this review on Yelp...the manager, Patrick had the audacity to harass me with lies and a nasty comment in a private message, I had to report him and BLOCK him for contacting me ever again!...Oh yeh..dont just walk away from this place..RUN!!

I have eaten at Farrago at least 50 times in the last couple of years. Unfortunately, the last few visits have been terrible. Last night told my niece we would go to a great place for fish and chips. As we came in we were greeted in about 30 seconds by a man in his 50's, gray hair, about 5'10, white shirt and sweater vest. Ask if we wanted to eat at the bar or wanted a table. (The bar was near full and it would not have been a choice for me). Took a table nearby, he handed us a wine list and walked away. About a minute later came back with one menu and stated he would grab another. The restaurant was about half full on a Thursday, so having to look for menus was odd. (Most of the people were at the bar. There were at least three waitstaff standing together talking. We sat and as time passed we would have waiter look at us, catch our eyes and then quickly look away and walk away.
Manager comes to the table next to us about 10 minutes later and picks up the check that had been left and walks away. No one asks about drinks, no one brings another menu. At 15 minutes of sitting I told my niece I would wait two minutes and if nothing changed we would go across to Cyclone Anaya's. I turned the stopwatch on my phone and waited while watching the manager chat with two waiters.
Finally, I stood up and waved at the manager. He literally looked at me as if to say, uhhhh, what? As we walked out, I stopped, turned, waved again and he looked away.
This is really a bummer. I really had liked going to farrago and having pizza or fish and chips.
Take a pass, go across the street or down the street and be waited on by people who want your business.
