Fat Sully's Pizza, Denver, Colorado Restaurant Details

Food:

So good. They only have pizza, with rotating lost of toppings. Which makes them very good at making pizza. If you like mass amounts of delicious cheese then you will adore the calzone. Great fresh, right out of the oven food. Sauce ladled to your plate on the side. Can't go wrong.

Awful snooty hipsters. Twice in a row screwed up my order. Rude. Incompetent. Don't bother. Get a pizza without out an attitude elsewhere.

In total I have had 3 miserable and insulting experiences with this place.

My first negative experience happened when I was eating a pizza I had ordered at the restaurant that I was enjoying with a beer at a table. At 1:25AM I was informed by the door guy that at 1:30AM he would take our beers regardless of whether we were finished with them. Granted they close at 2:00AM and we had just received a 20 in pizza, that we were each half a slice into. At 1:30AM he came by, took our beers rather forcefully and rudely and demanded we leave while we had a whole pizza in front of us. Extremely off-put I asked him why he was doing this when there was a bar full of other patrons with beers and that he was not removing their drinks immediately and that maybe he could ask the rest of the bar as well to leave or at least take our drinks last, because he was targeting us first and we has JUST received a pizza we had ordered. He said no and I told him it makes no sense to kick out the only patrons with food first and that it was kind of rude. He responded "Nice shirt bro, Get out!" That comment nice shirt bro has kind of haunted me because I have never felt so judged for wearing tie dye shirt in Denver.

After such an experience, I vowed to never eat in their dining room again and thought that I could enjoy their pizza sans attitude via delivery.

However, twice in a row I ordered a pizza through their online ordering system and twice in a row it was an absolute nightmare.

On the first occasion the drive apparently called me the first time when outside my house using the correct phone number I provided through their online system, but I had no missed calls. So I called into Fat Sully two times: once when the delivery driver was supposedly out on the delivery and and once again after another 30 minutes had gone by and I had been waiting a total of two hours. I was informed my pizza had returned to the shop because they couldn't get a hold of me. Confused and very shocked how that had gone wrong, I was forced to drive down to Fat Sullys because they no longer had delivery drivers to grab my cold pizza for which over my complaint they charged me for.

Against my better instinct I recently ordered another pizza through my online account. This time I verified to make sure the correct phone number was listed. It was. Nervous that something so basic had failed the previous time, I called and spoke to someone confirming my phone number and confirming that I needed to be called by the delivery driver to receive my pizza. Two hours go by.... Its like deja vu. So I call a second time to find out again my pizza was back at the shop. I asked to speak to a manager. I asked what he could do to remedy this situation. Granted I was upset, but he was even more rude. He flat out refused to work with me. Cursed at me. Refused to make me another pizza for delivery or pick-up or allow me to pick one the previously made pizza.

To treat someone like that when your company has made a mistake is beyond upsetting. It makes me feel stupid to wait 2 hours to be treated like that. And to top it off, the manager called me back to leave a hateful and rude voicemail.

Fat Sully's is a place where dreams come true! I've had excellent service at both locations. If you and you're friends are pizza lovers definitely order their largest size! It's as big a their tables

Ordered a large neapolitan and it was pretty good. Just nothing crazy exciting. The slices are huge so even though it is a little more expensive you get more.

Best Pizza in Denver! I have been a faithful fan of Sully's since I stumbled upon it sometime in the Fall of 2011. Many great pizza joints in Denver, but this one never lets me down! Also, trivia night is a blast!

The Atomic Cowboy, specifically, is nothing short of legend.
