Food:

Great location with a view of the mouth of the intercoastal and lighthouse. Only bar food, but it is a easy walk to schooners or guanabanas.All over it is a very amazing place and the staff were so friendly .

Rude bartenders. Bad clientele. Oh, and in the midst of this godawful heatwave, they have NO AC and instead turn on two fans. It's not hip or cool to drink in a sauna, idiots. Just read the reviews from people who like this place and it sums up Ferns nicely. Every review is more or less: "it's true the service sucks. There is an aroma of urine hovering oh so faintly, nary a bartender in sight; yet, as I begrudgingly enter my 30's, I must write Ferns a good review, lest my hip friends think less of me." get real. Piss stinks and you're old dude.

Best Juke Box on the planet..Bowie, Bad Brains, etc...damn I love you!

Always smells like someone took a pee in the corner. Gone there a few times more for karaoke, and it's always a challenge to get a drink... the bartenders spend all their time at the end of the bar talking to each other, ignoring the patrons. I don't know how this place makes any money.

Some complain about the poor service here. It's terrible, that's true. Stand there and stare straight at a bartender and there's a good chance they'll miss you. Also, this place served me the worse Long Island Ice Tea I've ever had. It was from a mix. A MIX!!! I've never heard of that. But, it's a local dive bar, and true to form. Cheap drinks, a smell you can't quite pin-point, and people who look 3 steps from death. But yet, I love Fern's. There have been lots of changes to the bar through the years both inside and by who frequents it. But consistently are the tattooed, the pierce, the spiked, the grunge, the bald, the loud, the doesn't quite fit his friends at the table... It's a fun place. Parking is terrible, but everywhere is on 4th so whatevs.
