Fish Tale, Long Beach, California, Seafood Restaurant Details

Food:

Everything about this place is great except the food. Great service, great location, great atmosphere and décor indoors. I ordered chicken fingers and my husband ordered oysters and fried calamari. He received an additional oyster, which was nice for him, but the calamari and the chicken fingers looked exactly alike. Both cut in identical thin strips with identical breading. I don't like seafood so I didn't try the calamari, but the breading on my chicken fingers was bland and unflavorful. The worst part was that my chicken fingers tasted like fish. THis could have been caused by many factors - dipped in same breading as fish or eggs, or whatever, fried in frying oil that's mostly used for frying fish, etc. I don't know what caused it, I know I got two bites in and couldn't eat any more due to the fish taste factor. It's a nice place to look at, but don't order the food.

A good restaurant but far from my expectations and from other reviews I have read about the Restaurant.

The food is too American Fried and care is not taken of the details when using the frier.

I went here on my lunch break based on a Google offer listed, and I wanted to try something different for lunch. Not only did they not honor the deal, but the host stated that anyone could have made it up and put it online. Even though it is on the Google local app.Worst customer service I have ever received. I would never go back. Management as well as the host/server were very unprofessional. Don't go here unless you want to be treated as a second class citizen.

Food:

Came in on a Friday night after a reception so we had chowder and split a crab cake. All great. No wait for a table but it was busy. Michelle, our server did a fine job.

The down fall was the service the waitress did not take our dirty plate and did not fill our water i was disapointed in all the staff that where there and did not really care about the table
the waitress did not even ask how our food was
