05/13/2014 3:04 pmDelicious food, great lobster and very cheap for Oahu, service isn't 5 star but the waiter got the job done. I personally would skip the lunch buffet and go for the a la carte. Lobster orders are huge and super delicious. My family and I come from Texas were even the Chinese buffets are bigger than normal and we were expecting something similar in Oahu to no avail, not one buffet Texan style. Although the buffet was disappointing their a la carte menu is great and the portions are generous and very tasty. This is my families' Chinese restaurant when we are all in Oahu. I will definitely be going back on my next visit. |

09/28/2013 7:40 pmWe were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii. As good as the resort is, it doesn't have too many eating options after say 9 in the night or so. We were a couple of families with 3 little kids and desperate and hungry enough to get out of Waikiki and find a place to eat. Luck may have it, a lady cab driver stopped in front of us next to Hilton and we hopped in. We didn't know what to tell her.. but I remember saying something like "Take us to a good place to eat". She drove us to Fook Yuen which is like a mile away. We were so skeptical when we saw the place from outside. It was fairly crowded and a bit noisy too. You will know what I mean if you have been to any of the "China Town" restaurants in New York City. The first time at Fook Yuen was a fun experience because the waiter didn't really seem to understand what we wanted and we couldn't figure out what he agreed upon. But, nevertheless he brought us some Chinese food which was some of the best I have ever tasted. Unbelievable quantity as well. I do think the waiter must have confused an order or two :) but what he got us was much better than probably what we ordered. We ate so much that, I have no idea how we got back to the hotel. I do remember asking the front desk at the restaurant to get us a cab. And Lobsters. You got eat them. Cost? Unbelievably low. Needless to say that we ended up going there 3 more nights. Highly recommended restaurant. The staff is extremely courteous and very generous. (I should mention the free desserts they gave us). They are open very very late in the night. |

03/31/2013 4:03 amThe service is great here, there was always one guy watching over if anyone needed assistance. The food didn't take so long so that was another plus to the service, and we got everything we needed. They also offered forks just in case. When you ask for something it only takes a small moment to receive what you asked for. The food, it is great! We had fried rice, fried lobster, seafood combination from the house special and beef with mustard cabbage. All the food were fantastic. I seen nothing wrong with anything and the tea is always great too! For dessert we had the tapioca. Not my favorite so I won't say anything about it. Overall I'd say this place is fantastic. |

06/14/2012 5:50 amIt's all about the honey walnut shrimp and the sizzling beef. The last 2 times I was here, the waiters automatically added a 15% gratuity to my bill (even for a party of 4) -- not sure if that's standard, but something to look out for. |
