I went there for lunch with a few friends. Service was EXTREMELY slow. The soft drinks tasted weird. Their garlic bread looked like hamburger buns with garlic on it, but they tasted fine.

The real problem is the food. It can only be described as gross. All 3 of my friends agreed. I got the lasagna, which was pretty much a bowl of melted cheese. Every once in a while, I'd get a bite of lasagna pasta and it was hard and rubbery and the cheese just slid right off of it. I couldn't finish it, and now I have a gross taste in my mouth and my stomach feels like I just ate at McDonalds. This place is gross.

I was excited to go to this place. I love Italian food. But it turns out I don't love all Italian restaurants.

First impressions started at the drinks. I ordered my usual for lunch. Doctor Pepper, but this time served in a wine glass. The taste was off, maybe something to do with the ice. All I know is I love Doctor Pepper, but loathed every sip of what ever this was.

I thought things would get better once the bread arrived. I could not have been more wrong. The bread was hamburger buns toasted and buttered and over seasoned. I guess it could have come from a cannonball shaped french bread, but the texture reminded me all to much of toasted buns.

After a very long wait the main entry was served. The food was too salty and over seasoned with some weird spice. The spice was not hot, but it was STRONG.

I dined with 3 others, everybody agreed this was bad Italian food. Nobody finished their plate, or even 4th of their plate with exception to the guy who had lasagna.

In any case, the food tasted so bad (to us) that we will not be visiting this place again :(

Took a date there last night. It really made our night great. The food was good. The decor was excellent and service by our waitress was great. I was referred by the reviews on google and they were on point. Great alternative restaurant for Zios, Cabbarra's, or Olive Garden. I will definitely return.

What a delightful surprise! There are plenty of average "Italian" restaurants in Houston - This is not one of them. The restaurant is clean and pleasant. We were greeted immediately by very friendly and attentive waiters and shown to a table. The service was excellent and the food was among the best I have had in Houston. Done to perfection and well presented. The flavor was perfect. I am used to getting marinara that has too much tomato and basil flavor. This had neither and I couldn't get enough of it. An excellent place to eat and linger over excellent coffee. Can't comment on the dessert as I was much too full from dinner. I will most certainly be back.

Fornos is the BEST ITALIAN EATERY in Houston .. I eat there several times a month. Armando is personable always makes the rounds to make sure his customers are happy. The Hostess is very personable and attentive. The wait person staff is very attentive and Maureen is my favorite wait person because she
treats myself and my guests as though we are family. It doesn't hurt that Maureen
is beautiful and gracious. The food is excellent and the wait time for our meals always accomodates our busy schedules.
