03/11/2016 6:54 pmI'm from new Orleans I saw this place on TV so I told my husband that when we go back to Memphis that we would give this place a try. And I have to tell you it was the worst experience ever we waited 10 min to be seated the staff was just walking pass us as if we were invisible until my husband said something. Then we waited another 15min after being seated and no one ever came to take our order no one never came to the table. And they were not crowded so we just got up and left. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! NEVER AGAIN |

07/03/2015 5:28 pmI pass though Memphis from time to time and stop by this restaurant. I'm not to happy with the neighborhood but I love this place. The owner Mr.Willie Earl Bates is an real gentleman. This restaurant is located in one of the worst neighborhoods in Memphis but he still manage to draw crowds for some good ole southern cooking. The Four Way Restaurant has even been featured on the Travel Channel. The restaurant serves greats like recording artist and staff from Stax Records, Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev.Jesse Jackson, Al Green, Drake, political figures, and members of the Memphis Grizzlies basketball team just to name a few. They have served late greats like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., B.B. King, Isaac Hayes, and Elvis Presley. Mr. Bates personally served the rev Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. his final dinner the night before he was assassinated. |
