Franco's has been wonderful for over 30 years now. Norfolk does have hidden gems that you never knew about and Franco's is one of them.

Place is horrible...... Cant bring in Starbucls coffee? Too bad. Lost a customer. Watch minimum wage hostess and waitresses try to act sophisticated,,,,,,,kind of sad....

My work loves to order from Franco's and we drop some good money there for our lunch meals. I had the chicken parm and it was decent, chicken was over done. Well again we ordered so i tried the spaghetti and meatball and the sauce was a huge disappointment, the meatballs soggy. I could not finish a quarter of my meal. This time decided to be safe and ordered the house salad. HA the lettuce is wilted and rotten, i am almost sure i ate a nat.... I am sure this place had been amazing at one point but for the price and the quality they should have better quality.

We went there to celebrate my husband's birthday with our best friends (party of eight). One of the couples have been going there about once a week for the past year and raved about the food and piano player would be a bonus, ha! Upon arrival we sat butted up to the piano and dropped a rather large bill in the piano tip jar and began to try to build a rapport with the ivory tickler and requested a song. The plan was to enjoy a long leisurely dinner celebrating a special occasion with best friends and great food. We ordered wine and began conversing among ourselves when the piano player took a break, Upon his return our friend complimented him by saying, "hey man you are doing an awesome job"' and placed his hand barely on his back as a kind gesture and to help guide him past two chairs we were sitting in as it was a real tight spot and every time the piano player took a break we had to stand up out of our chairs to let him get by. The piano player "WENT OFF" and made a huge scene telling our friend he was drinking too much, he was too loud and not to lay a hand on him...totally not the case as we had just barely sipped our wine and were having a great conversation with our friends. We debated about paying our wine tab and leaving right then and there and going elsewhere to eat, maybe Aldo's where the piano player is awesome and actually has a personality, and because we were so uncomfortable and it really put a damper on the whole dinner but our friend who was rudely berated said no we don't know what the piano player is dealing with in his personal life let's just let it go and stay and try to enjoy the meal. The food was incredible but after the additional altercation with the piano player which ended up outside on the sidewalk as we were leaving we will surely not be back!
