Freda's Cafe, Cape May, New Jersey Restaurant Details

This quaint restaurant offers some of the best food I've had the pleasure of tasting. The cream of mushroom soup was absolutely amazing and I don't usually care for cream type soups.
Everything my girlfriend and I ordered was prepared to perfection even the French fries were like no other..
If you are visiting the Cape May area or maybe a local who hasn't wandered in yet please do yourself a favor and stop in for a bite to eat! Oh and don't forget to bring your favorite beer or wine with you! Yes its a BYOB! Hats off to the Chef team husband and wife!

When my family visits our parents in Cape May, Freda's is always on the list for dinning out. We have been enjoying the delicious and creative dinners at Freda's for over 15 years and the food, service and ambiance has always been exceptional. The chef always has new and fresh special options which are my favorite. One summer I had the peach cobbler which was the best one I have ever tasted. Looking forward to our next visit.

I've eaten at Freda's dozens of times and have had an excellent meal every single time. The food is phenomenally good. For years I've claimed that their crab cakes are the best in the world. I still believe that, but recently I've selected their Organic Salmon Stuffed with crab meat & spinach on a bed of rice with an lemon herb sauce as my new favorite. It really doesn't matter what you order, it will be delicious. Every entree comes with a dinner salad and their famous fresh baked bread. Freda's is a BYOB restaurant, so bring a bottle of your favorite wine, save a few bucks and have a great dining experience.

Absolutely the best cake I have ever had in my life!!!!!! Carol made a wonderful yellow cake with strawberries and butter cream icing for our wedding and we could not have asked for anything to taste better. Our guests raved about it for weeks!. If you can get Carol to make your cake; you WILL NOT be sorry! We loved it!

Absolutely amazing food!!! Number one restaurant in Cape May. Had seafood dishes with pasta. The best scallops ever! Shrimps excellent too! Service was very nice. The ambiance is nice (jazz music!). Highly recommended. Will come back again!
