I purchased a one night staycation through Expedia. Although I live in the general area, I didn't know this hotel existed. I was in a studio suite. Buy the sound of it, I thought I'd be disappointed. The kitchen is great with all appliances and utensils, and has a 2-person eating bar. The living area was novelty furnished with a desk, work table, couch, and more. The bedtime was offset; so, while in the same room, it has a somewhat divided feel. The bath was adequate. All counters were real granite. And the ambience of the room was great. I would definitely stay there again. Oh, and they have free room service from one of our favorite restaurants next door (Village Tavern). Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great! Great! Great! Very clean rooms & pool area so relaxing, free happy hour & breakfast buffet. (Different items each day everthing from poached eggs, oatmeal, biscuits & gravy, hash browns, yogurt, fruits, salads, etc. Friendly & helpful staff. Location right where you can 'get into & get out of' malls, parks, highway. Hands down I would recommend.

I have my family stay here every spring break and employees / business guests when they come in from out of town. Great hotel, great and beautiful location. Very nice, updated and spacious rooms at an awesome price.

I stayed at Gainey Suites Hotel for three nights in April 2015 for a business trip. The hotel was fully booked almost the entire time I was there. The room I was given was very nice but far away from the front desk. I listed some pros and cons of this hotel below:

Some positive things I noticed while staying here are:
1. Very friendly staff. The staff members are amazing; everyone is very friendly and willing to answer any questions or help in any way.
2. Spacious rooms. The rooms have full kitchens, including a dishwasher. They also supply some cooking supplies for you to cook.
3. Nightly cocktails and snacks. Every night from 5-7 PM in the breakfast area you can go get free drinks and snacks. The snacks that were available are pizza, pretzels, chips and salsa.
4. Comfortable beds. The beds are very comfortable. They have king size pillows that are amazingly comfortable.
5. Cookies & Teddy Bears. Chocolate chip cookies are available during check in times (they are very good) and you get two teddy bears in your room that you can take home with you.

Some issues I noticed while staying here are:
1. It took me about 4-5 minutes to get to my room because I was given a room in the very back of the hotel.
2. Parking. There is limited parking available and because the hotel was at full capacity I usually had to park in the very back of the parking lot.
3. Fitness Center. The fitness center needs to be updated. There are two treadmills, one elliptical, one bike, free weights and a bench. Usually I would be okay with this facility but it was in a very small space and the machines were not in the best condition.
4. Pool. Staff members go around and put towels on the furniture in the morning and by midday there are no towels available.
5. Housekeeping. The housekeeping staff was very nice but they do not do a very good job cleaning the rooms. I found hairs in my bed and bathroom sink that I am certain are not mine.
6. Breakfast. The breakfast buffet was okay. They had yogurt, eggs, potatoes, toast, cereal and fruit available. The eggs were really runny and not very good.

If I go back to Scottsdale I would consider staying at this hotel again but will do more research before committing as I feel I can find a better deal for the price per night.

I hope this helps!

Loyalists of this "sweet" Central Scottsdale "hidden gem" declare the all-suiter a "home away from home" and say they'd "return in a heartbeat" thanks to a "hospitable" staff, excellent amenities (including an "inviting" lounge and a complimentary happy hour with wine and hors d'oeuvres) and a location that's "close to good shopping and restaurants"; the "large" accommodations sport "relaxing" decor, "modern" kitchens and marble bathrooms, helping to make it a "good choice for a long or short stay."
