03/31/2016 2:18 amConsistently good fare including a terrific weekend brunch attracts Francophiles to this chic, bohemian South End French staple (and Aquitaine sibling) in a subway tile–lined setting evoking an old-world brasserie; despite being always hopping with a fun buzz, it feels well managed thanks to solid service, with relatively reasonable prices plus quiet courtyard dining and free parking adding to the joie de vivre. |

01/14/2016 2:37 amGaslight has a great brunch. I had an omelette and raw oysters. Any brunch that includes raw oysters is pretty much going to instantly make me a fan. |

01/01/2016 6:48 pmGood food overall. We mainly had a bunch of appetizers because those sounded a bit more to our liking, and they were quite good - tasty, if a bit small. The service was good, although the waitress was a bit too busy to pay attention to us. Nice ambiance, clean and elegant but not too posh. |

12/31/2015 12:24 amEVERYTHING was fabulous. Our server, Alex, was knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. After our meal, the new manager stopped by our table to ask about our experience, which was, of course, WONDERFUL!!! Delicious French food @ very reasonable prices. Try the foie gras pate, bone marrow or escargots for apps. The pork shank is to die for yummy. They also offer complementary parking. Go there & thank me afterwards! |

12/22/2015 8:28 pmWe were in town visiting and very excited to try Gaslight. It was a Sunday night so not too busy but had a good amount of people nonetheless. Atmosphere is amazing both at the bar and in the restaurant. Wait staff was incredibly attentive and friendly offering up suggestions when asked about recommendations. |

12/02/2015 3:40 amOut of all the French-themed eateries in the area, Gaslight is one of the cheaper places (it's still somewhat pricey, though). Their beer selection is limited, but the wine and cocktail selections are good. Food is excellent. Atmosphere is great too, with amber lighting by the bar. The entire place is decked out in a 1920's Art Deco-esque decor. Service can be spotty, especially when it gets busy. Still, highly recommended. |
