Came for dessert after getting tacos at Lucha Libre. The shop is pretty tiny but cute and clean. They had pretty interesting flavors and I tried the hazelnut one first and didn't need to try any others. I'm a big fan of nutella and this one had the strong hazelnut and chocolate flavor that I love in desserts. Staff was nice and fast. We got in and out pretty quick.

Best gelato spot in SD. The options are typical, but the flavors are great. It can get crowded while ordering, but there is seating outside and upstairs. Nice place to visit after Lucha Libre.

The fiancé and I love gelato. We also love this place. It has a decent selection of gelato flavors made daily in house. While the place is tiny, they are always quick to serve, have amazing drinks to go with it and are always so helpful. We enjoy going here after dinner to get our dessert and to sit and talk, either inside or out. It's kind of like coffee house meets the gelato stand. You get the best of both worlds here. We continue to come back again and again.

Oh, gelato, how I love thee. Let me count the ways. First, go to Gelato Vero. Second, order any flavor. Heck, order 5, they will all be delicious. I've been coming here since high school. I have never had gelato from another place that I like nearly as much. You can enjoy or scoop or my favorite, milkshake at a table inside or out on the sidewalk. Parking in the area can be tricky, but it's worth looking for a spot just to eat here.

Another oldie but goodie, the perfect dessert and espresso spot nestled next to a litany of good eateries like Lucha Libre, Blue Water Seafood Market & Grill, El Indio, and Saffron... just to name a few. Upstairs is eerily quiet if that's what you're looking for, but downstairs is small but a fun, vibrant atmosphere that makes this place a quintessential San Diego haunt for all ages.

This funky, "friendly" Midtown coffeehouse has been a popular destination for coffee and "delicious gelato [like] you get in Rome" for more than 30 years; "it's a great place to wrap up a night", while on weekends breakfast crowds pack the upstairs loft for international fare and familiar favorites like quiches and waffles inspired by chef Kirsten Green's international travels.
