07/06/2012 11:37 pmPortion sizes are hugh! My prime cut signature filet was melt in your mouth like butter. Wife had tuna and both were wonderful. No room for desert because portions so generous. We started with oysters and they were Hugh and very good. Staff nice and very pleasant. I would go back if I visit again. |

06/26/2012 3:14 pmThis was amazing. first the sevice was amazing. Our server Lina was amazing. We arrived right before the restaurant closed so they kept it open for my date and me. At no point during the night were we rushed. Every time a drink ran low or if a plate was empty Lina and was there to refill or remove the plate. The dinning utensils were spotless and bright.The steaks were mouth watering. It showed the cook took his time making our meals. I would recommend this place to any who loves steaks and or wants to fine down. with out a doubt I will be dinner here again. |

03/14/2011 1:57 pmHad a group of 11 people for a business dinner. Made a reservation a month in advance. Dinner took 3 hours - it looked like there was 1 waiter, 1 busboy, and probably 1 cook. Although my surf and turf were good, they were cold. We could have taken a nap in between courses. Additionally, the waiter recommended a desert that he said was not too sweet. One bite and I couldn't eat anymore. It was like eating sugar. I told the waiter and he just said "Really?". |

05/12/2010 1:22 amWe ate in many 5 stars restaurants before, this restaurant is one of the best we have ever been. The setting is elegant, romantic and comfortable, the service was outstanding (Mike was our waiter), the hostess (Shauna) was knowledgeable and pleasant. We three appetizers, crab cake (so yummy), Tuna Tartar Tower (awesome) and the oysters were the best, very meaty, so sweet and fresh! Our party of five had Rib Eye Steak, cook to perfection, so tasty and juicy, the Rack of Lamb was truly the very best I had ever tasted, grilled to perfection, serve with Cuscus, the flavor goes so perfectly with the lamb. The scallops were huge and cook to perfection. We were so impressed with our meal that we have decided to come back again very soon. Our toast to the Chef! |

02/13/2009 2:42 pmWe were in town for a small convention and things were slow in San Diego with many of the restaurants in the gaslamp district doing very little business. We had read some nice reviews of Georges on Fifth so wer gave it a try. We had a great meal. I had scallops and my wife had a small filet. Excellent and the price was reasonable. The service could not have been better. |
