Excellent Asian fusion. Love the Lemongrass Ginger soup. Bartenders are excellent and very skilled. Can be a little crowded on weekends, but makes for an exciting, high energy scene.

Swanky, pricey, and delicious. Great decor, unlike other restaurants popular in the tourist mags. Extensive cocktail menu, and food presentation is an a+.

Excellent Asian fusion cusine, comparable to fine restaurants in other West Coast cities. One of the tastiest places in town. Somewhat pricey, but it's Anchorage.

We were craving for a nice dinner that day. So we decided to go to Ginger. It is located right in downtown Anchorage. This is an upscale fine dining restaurant and looked very nice, a bit busy. We ordered Thai Coconut Chicken Skewers, Caldera Crusted Big Eye Ahi Tuna and Mee Krob. We absolutely loved the food. The coconut cashew rice was perfectly complimenting the coffee crusted tuna; and the beans, I never know they can be this tasty! Even the Mee Krob, which was rice & vermicelli noodles sauteed with chicken, pork and shrimp was too good! Food was expensive, but it was worth it! The portion sizes were good. We wanted to try their dessert, but we were so full that we had to drop that idea

Four of us certainly enjoyed our appetizers and entrees that were tasty and beautifully presented. However, the service was not of the same caliber. We waited a long time for our drinks and had to ask a second time for both a glass of ice and then a spoon to serve it with. The busboy took an appetizer plate off the table even while my wife was trying to serve the last portion onto her plate. Very strange and made us feel rushed. Two entrees arrived and two came significantly later. After being offered chop sticks they never came nor did the spoon for the ice. Too many different people coming too frequently for all the wrong reasons. Someone poured water into the ice glass defeating the purpose of adding it to the drink. Our entree plates were also taken before we were comfortably done. Delivery was late and removal was early. We would return for the wonderful food but the experience was strange and seriously lacking in service and cohesion. Hoping we had several trainees who failed miserably at trying to be attentive. Food rates 5, service 1.
