Been going to Golden Star for 56 years! I live out of state and the first place I go when I arrive is Golden Star! Sure wish I could have a couple of their recipes to hold me over until I get back to town.... Such as Chow Mein and fried rice... Please?

The Golden Star Restaurant has been family owned since 1965. The restaurant offers Cantonese-style Chinese food and good dining value in a friendly, relaxed, dining-focused atmosphere.

American food (hamburgers, grill cheese sandwich, prime rib, steaks, etc) is also on the menu to satisfy every member of your group.

They also offer take-out orders for your home dining needs.

the food is always better than average quality. It has been this way for years. If I want to take an out of towner for a decent chinese food dinner, I go here.

Use to be the only place I ate chinese food for 30 pluss yrs. Ate there 2-3 times a month. But the last 4 times I ordered take out they messed up my order And they Dont care. Now I've gone back to twin dragon and have no regrets. Well worth the 3 more min. Drive.

My friends and I go out every Friday night to a different restaurant and we had some awesome black bean dishes here. The place was a few years old when I was born and the decor is still the same,but the food is very very good. It helps when you used to work with one of the cooks years before too.

If you see a negative review, take it with a grain of salt, haters got to hate. In this town there are a lot of pretentious people who expect things their way only and try to brow beat the owners of local restaurants, and when they don't get their way they come here and talk the place down.
