Goodnights Pizza Bar & Patio, Omaha, Nebraska Restaurant Details

Food:

This place was empty on a Friday night, always a warning sign. I can't imagine why a place that would go to all the effort of landing a prime spot downtown would put so little effort into their food. If you're going to call yourself a pizza place, it is absolutely vital that you make a decent pie. The crust was spongy and dry, the rest of the ingredients had no flavor. Ordered a wild mushroom pizza, totally skimpy on toppings, the whole thing had probably 3 mushrooms total. To the managers: You're competing with other Omaha pizza staples such as Mama's, La Casa, and even Pitch. Go try their pizza and see what you're competing with. Scrap everything you're doing now, and start over from scratch (literally, you need to make everything from scratch.) If you build a good pie, they will come.

I consider myself a pizza expert. I am not, however, a pizza snob. I'll eat a decent pie from almost anywhere. This place is my new exception. I'd go to Charles Edward Cheese before coming back here. Seriously. This place sucks...service, pizza, wings...it sucks. I've cooked frozen pizzas that were better than the $17.00 pizza I had here. On the plus side though, at least get to wait forever to get your beer and food. Bartender was sitting on the ice box watching tv. I shit you not. Server came back after a half hour and said, "they dropped your pizza and are making you a new one". I said, "what about the wings we ordered?". Her response? "Oh crap...". Awesome.

Food:

Pizza was ok. It would have fit right in at Chuck E Cheese. There were almost no toppings on it. We didn't spit it out or anything, but we won't be back.

The pizza was good but the service was terrible. They were not busy and my waited and the bartender were chatting with a friend and not paying any attention to customers at all. It is also expensive if you are alone. The don't have any selection between a slice and a full 14" pizza.

I went on a Friday night with about 4 other people. The service was a bit slow, and the waitress made a couple of mistakes with the orders. Other wise the pizza was good, a little burnt on the bottom, but still hot and very flavorful.
