I thought Goodwin's seemed pretty good, although the sandwich I got wasn't anything too amazing. I got one with shrimp and bbq sauce because I had seen good things online about it, but it was a bit too strange of a combination for me. The pretzel bun was amazing and I love that they have more health conscious and homegrown type food.

My favorite sandwich shop to hit while wandering the city of Chicago. There are two convenient locations for the business savy, and also those who are just traveling. Some of my favorites are the San Marcos and San Carlos, and I always pair my sandwiches with their chips, salsa, and guac. The guac is a huge serving and a good price - I am happy when I can get fresh ingredients! I also enjoy the atmosphere, happy cooks and workers & you know its a good restaurant when the line is out the door at lunch time. Don't let that line fool you though, it moves quickly! Don't forget to grab your apple at the checkout!

I used to not be the biggest fan of Goodwin's, but then they magically started making gluten free sandwiches and changed my world. They serve My Bread, which is a gluten free pita, and while it's not a sandwich-sandwich, it's still pretty darn tasty.

I love the side options. It's nice to get a little something on the side with your sandwich. A $1.00 will get you an upgrade to chips and guac too!

Yes - the menu is ridiculously long. Just stop reading it and get the Santa Rosa - a delicious wrap with chicken, black beans, pico, guac, provolone, and sour cream. It's like heaven in a tortilla. All the wraps also come with tortilla chips, delicious house-made salsa, and guac. It's a refreshing change from a lot of the loop lunch spots!

8.15.13 @12:45pm - as usual the line was out the door yet people still fall in line for that great food including me. I placed my order, which was the "vail", but with mayo instead of barbecue sauce. Simple order and yet they still managed to forget to put in the best part, the avocado. So, I called it in and spoke with Mike. He asked how far I was from their restaurant, I told him. He said that they would fix the problem and will send it over. In no time they were at my building with my wrap. Now, that is an awesome customer service! It actually made this whole incident a great experience, which is the reason why I have to say something about it. You guys ROCK! Thanks!
