01/28/2016 11:06 pmAn "oasis of civility", this Ravenswood New American wins acclaim for chef Chris Nugent's "high-end" multicourse tasting menus that impress with "innovative" preparations, "divine" flavors and "beautiful" presentation; the simple, intimate setting has an "elegant" vibe, and while it's pricey, a BYO policy (you can stop at its next-door shop) helps keep it "cheaper" than similar options. |

12/10/2015 3:13 amAs always a fantastic experience. The courses are well executed and are by far the best in the city. The passion of the chef and staff shows in every element. Best cheese course I have ever experienced and the whole dining session far exceeds any Michelin three star place I have been. |

09/27/2014 5:45 amI am rating this restaurant as what it is meant to be, which is upscale. I am basing my views on having been to several similar restaurants to give you some background. I had the 9 course tasting menu. |

08/01/2014 7:59 pmGoosefoot offers a tasting menu with 9 courses and BYOB. The hostess and wait staff are very personable, and the atmosphere is civilized. The food contains seasonal ingredients and incorporates molecular gastronomy techniques, especially gels and flowers. All the courses were good, but some were lacking in overall flavor, with individual components not adding up. The scallop, salmon and soup courses were excellent. The cheese course had a lot going on, including fennel chips and explosive fig pellets. The garlic custard was curdled with minimal shrimp flavor and the duck confit in the risotto was totally lost. The peach dessert was overwhelmed by the strawberry flavor, but had a good biscuit. Nice finish with a tiny hot chocolate. |

10/30/2013 6:50 pmA fancy place, but 100% worth it. The best thing to get is a 3 course dinner, as that is one of the best choices on the menu. I loved the chestnut soup it had a very smooth and smokey taste to it. Then the scottish salmon, which was wood plank smoked and done perfectly to that point that it arouses your taste buds into something you never knew was there. Then for desert I had the Blood Orange/Cassia/Kaffir Lime/Citrus which tasted amazing, I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Also apparently the owner was telling me on my way out that they only source local ingredients so it supports the local farming economy, plus it is much fresher that way. |
