Governor's Restaurant & Bakery, Bangor, Maine Restaurant Details

The complete experience tonight at Governors in Bangor was awful. Terrible service, terrible food & ridiculous prices. Will never go back there again.

This restaurant is indeed a family restaurant. It has it's pros and it's cons, very much like every restaurant. Their food is brilliant, but they could add a few things to update the flavor and creativity. Their service is okay, they have things to learn. They need a cleaning update, some tables have many crumbs and other sticky substances on them. Also, the greeting is fantastic. The idea of a bakery and a restaurant in one is definitely a great idea. The prices are low enough for me to want to eat there with no trouble with payment.
The service gets a 75%. The Food gets a 93%. The Cleanliness gets a 75%. The Bakery gets a 99%. The Price gets a 97%. In total, I shall say, the restaurant gets an 89%. This is a restaurant I would go to, but wouldn't go to constantly.

Sometimes decent food, but I find a lot of their baked goods dry and overcooked. A lot of people seem to like Governor's, but I am okay with not eating here again.

Not going to get into a big story here. The clams were off and the scallops were overcooked. Disgustingly disappointed. Do not plan on coming back anytime soon.
