Food:

We have visited this resort several times over the years and enjoyed our stay.
So, naturally I called to reserve for the furniture market.
What a mess! I called to reserve and the lady said they did have rooms available for my time frame. They asked me to fill out a form and send in. I completed it that day. The lady send me an email that she would deliver to the reservations manager and I should hear back soon. This was 3 weeks ago. In the meantime, I have called about 10 times, left messages, was put on hold for 45 minutes, sent emails and even talked to the lady. She said she was processing and would call me back in 10 minutes. That was a week ago. I do not understand why they tell people that they have the room and never reserve. We just needed to know either way so we could go elsewhere. Luckily, I found another hotel. Really bad Customer Service! I know they are busy but there is no excuse for bad customer service!
Needless to say, I will never call them again!

Food:

Looking forward to speaking again at the NCACPA Annual Symposium on what they need to know about changes to the web and social media. The room is wonderful and the service was excellent. Look forward to having breakfast and meeting new people tomorrow.

The word resort is used very loosely at this place. The whole place is in desperate need of updating. The carpets are worn, the furniture and handrails show signs of extreme wear. We at in the restaurant for breakfast and was hovered over the whole time by a server who constantly asked if we were finished and wanted our check. The raw bar advertised on the website hasn't been in service for some years as reported to me by one of the staff. Checking out was a fiasco, accompanied by an employee who was more than flippant as we explained the problem and requested a correction. Stay somewhere else.

Food:

I am solely reviewing on the basis of golf and events. The Grand over has two amazing courses with the East and West. The grounds are Amazingly kept and the staff bend over backward to accommodate. The events, banquets and party venues are also top notch and well-kept. Great to host a meeting, event or party on a nicer scale. Great location that is minutes from anywhere in the Triad.

Everything is top notch. No minor issue is too small. They accommodate very quickly
