This is a must see. I go here every time I'm in town. Great food and great food. The pub burger is awesome. If you haven't had cheese curds before, get them here.......they are fried and melt in your mouth

Who the hell doesnt take discover. They are lucky i had money in my account. WTF. Good burger excellant bartender pissed that they do not take my credit card.

My family and I went to The Great Dane Hilldale for Mother's Day Brunch. There were several issues that we encountered, the biggest being that we were charged $25 for brunch, when typically it is $17. We questioned this and asked why it was so much more, the brunch buffet was exactly the same as any other weekend. They said that mothers got a free mimosa with brunch, but otherwise there was no difference, and that it was just more expensive because it was Mother's Day. Had we known that they charged extra just because it was Mother's Day we'd never eaten hear, we could've ate at Fresco and other "fine" dining establishments for about the same cost. It's extremely frustrating knowing that they simply charged more because it was a special day.. this is ridiculous, way to screw over families on Mother's Day. The other issue we had, was that we tried to call for a reservation, they said they didn't do reservations, then when we got there the lady at the front desk asked if we had a reservation and we said no, because we called and said they didn't take reservations, she continued to say, yes - you are correct, we don't take reservations but I just wanted to check to make sure you didn't have one - she made no sense what-so-ever and they clearly take reservations because she had a whole list of them. It's a shame, the Great Dane has definitely lost our family as customers and we won't be making any recommendations to this establishment.

Had the inner warmth peanut stew. Great flavor and good portion size. Coffee tasted a little off, but it is a pub after all. Nice atmosphere, comfortable seating.

Pretty good Sunday brunch although seems like it has fallen off a bit lately. They only accept reservations for groups of 8 or more, so get there early if you want a table in the area where the brunch is served.
