A vegetarian's delight, these casual, affordable cafes produce creative meatless and kosher dishes that even a carnivore can enjoy, plus fantastic desserts (save room for the cupcakes); the colorful, down-to-earth spaces have an open feel, while the Tobin Hill outpost offers a covered patio.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in San Antonio. And we're omnivores. We've been to both their locations, and the food is excellent at both. We never wait long for a table, which is funny because the place is always full of customers whenever we go. The food is excellent. And save room for a vegan cupcake!
The patio at the Pearl location is dog friendly, as well as the outdoor tables at their northern location.
I love their Raw Deal Wrap, Monks Bowl, and Protein Salad.

Visiting from Houston and Wanted to bring my family out for a nice enjoyable lunch. The decor is nice ,the staff is pleasant and the food was enjoyable. My husband had the jalepeno burger and raved about it . He is not a vegitarian and he said he would prefer this Over a meat burger any day. I had the falafel bowl. It had a very nice flavor.and it is veey filling. My children had grilled cheeses and quesadillas with sweet fries. They also enjoyed their meal. Overall the restraunt is nice and I would recommend it. We didnt try the dessert but it all looked very good.

Green specializes in Southern American "comfort food" - deep-fried items abound on the menu. For those who find healthier fare comforting, they do have some options - the Mediterranean bowl, the monk's bowl, the kale salad side, the mashed potato side, and a few others as well. Anything containing cheese can be made vegan as well.

The atmosphere is very casual, but the quality of the cooking is very good. What they do, they do well. This is a great place to have a big spicy chickpea burger, fresh quinoa salad, steaming lentil soup, delicate kale salad, or the occasional special dish and treat yourself to a beautifully decorated cupcake or slice of cake for dessert. Their Thanksgiving dinner plate is the best Thanksgiving dinner I've ever had.

I am not a vegetarian and I thoroughly enjoyed a meal here with family.

While on a strict vegan fast in order to spend more time in prayer, I found this little eatery visiting San Antonio. The initial smell walking in was not appetizing, however to my surprise the food was very appealing to my senses.

Normally, I add cheese when cheese is optional, and ask for extra meat when it's not necessary. While at Green, though, I was easily able to find something on the menu that fit my needs and satisfied my hunger.

The celery slaw was delicious, and the jalapeño chick-pea burger (no cheese, *wipes tears away*) was fantastic. I had no idea a place like this could fill me up.

Unfortunately, there were some downsides to this little place, and those are as follows:
1. Entrées are plated with a gross pickle, and a 'heart' design made of berry sauce, but both looked as though they were prepared hours before.
2. The dirty smell of the place was much too strong, even for a natural health joint. Floors and menus reflect the smell.

Fortunately, there were some great things to this little place, and those are as follows:
1. Location = great; situated amongst a modern, posh outdoor mall.
2. Flavor combos were top-notch.
3. Prices were surprising low.

Overall, this was a nice find in the Northern Downtown San Antonio area. We will be back for some of their dessert offerings next time!
