This place is hard to find. There is no labeling outside. The Italian food is delicious and they always have a interesting tap list.

Food:

When you first walk in and are greeted by the bathroom, before continuing your decent into the basement you think, "why am I here?" Don't judge a book by it's cover. This place has some of the best pizza in Madison. The crust is thin and crispy. The sauce is authentic and fresh. They also have a nice selection of beer on tap. Too bad the place is only open for Dinner. This would be a hot lunch spot near campus!

Food:

Awesome history and bar, but owner is not kind or accommodating. She only cares about her bottom line, not her customers or the food. The ingredients may be procured from local sources, but they are not appreciated, honored or respected in the true Italian way they should be. Don't go here. Check other reviews if you don't take my word.

Fantastic environment. Very friendly staff. Not all the dishes are terrific, but the pizza is really good. I would give it 5 stars if they still had lasagna on the menu.

Some of the best pizza in a truly authentic atmosphere I have had. Highly recommended.
