Really a 3.5, the food is delicious but the quality of service has gone down the last several times I've been here. 2x ago we were comp'ed food because they messed up. Let his last time it just took way too long...I mean we got our appetizer before we got our drinks.

Good selection of authentic German food with a northwest flair. If you are a vegetarian you will have a little trouble finding anything but a salad, but if you are open to fish they will make substitutions.

Enjoyed good beer and cider. The Weiner Schnitzel was great. If you go on a Saturday night like we did it'll take roughly 35 minutes for your main course to arrive from the time you order (it took that long for the two of us). It was a busy Saturday night though. I'll be sure to come back.

What a great lunch spot. This place is very convenient when shopping at Washington Square, but don't want to hit up the food court. Went with my family and we were situated in a comfy booth overlooking the area below.

We picked potato pancakes, veal schnitzel, some bratwurst/sausages, and pork loin to split. The pancakes were nothing special and lacked any spice. Did come with applesauce, which was customary, though my Chinese parents thought it was weird. ("Applesauce is for dessert!") The veal came with spaetzle. First time I tried it and was pleasantly surprised. It was light, not oily or anything, and had a nice texture to it. The sausages were flavorful and plump. Didn't try the pork, but my mom enjoyed it.

Service was a little lacking. After we got our food, our server never came back. Water remained unfilled and we had to go up to the front to get our check.

Food was OK/good but very oily and some items were too salty. There was a lack of German beers and some German food options were missing.

We started with a pretzel fondue appetizer and the cheese was salty and then it's combined with a salty pretzel.

For dinner we ordered a kale chicken salad and every leaf was coated in oil. We also ordered one of their variety platters and the schnitzel was very oily and excessively moist but the sausage was good.
