Food:

Expensive, but I really enjoyed the BBQ combo with the house chips. They gave me a side of blue cheese to dip the chips in and that was some of the best blue cheese I have ever had.

Food:

Been there twice for weekend lunches, both experiences were great. Food was very good, and service for both times were good. My girlfriend and I both enjoyed this place and will be going back again sometime soon. Clean restaurant. The menu selection isn't big, and don't expect anything super-over-the-top as other reviews might have it.

Over priced and average food. I paid almost 20 dollars for chicken fingers and a sprite. The chicken fingers where the size of nuggets.

I have never been to this restaurant before and my boyfriend and I decided to try it out one night. It looked very nice and fancy and we were expecting the same when it came to the staff and food. There was no wait so we were seated right away which is always good. The hostess was very friendly and at first our waiter was as well. After we gave him our food order he became beyond rude. He would literally walk by our table and snatch our empty drink and would refill it and slide it back on our table without making eye contact or saying a word. This would be acceptable to me IF and only IF they were slammed, however there were not a lot of people in this restaurant at the time (maybe 5 other tables.) He then proceeded to clean the booth that was horizontal to our table and totally blew my mind. He took a rag and slung the food off the table in such a manner that it could have flown to our table. To make matters worse, he got under the table and did the same thing with the food on the floor and took the rag and slung it our way. I was disgusted. It made me want to walk out, however my boyfriend and I didn't want to make a huge scene so we stayed because we heard about how delicious the food was. Finally after about 20 min. of waiting for our food, it came to our table. I ordered the salmon which was pretty good (not amazing, but good.) At this time a new waitress came around to our table and she was much more kind, asking us questions about how our food was, if we needed anything, and continued to check on us. Needless to say, we didn't leave much of a tip because of how rude the waiter was. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone or go back again. If anything, I will recommend that you do NOT go to this particular Harper's.

I had a horrible experience at Harpers tonight. I love going out to restaurants. This is one of my favorite things to do. Trying new food and new people is what I am down for. I was completely shocked of the poor service. Not a single person asked me how I was doing, how my food was, or is there anything else I can do to make my experience perfect. The food was wimpy and poorly presented. I have seen this restaurant for years and now I know why I never went in there in the first place. Management needs to step up. Plus I wasn't the only one waiting 10 minutes to just make a drink order. Way to start an evening off on the wrong foot.
