Ok I walk into this restaurant with the idea that with a name HAVANA it would be good cuban food NOT. I had their ropa vieja in which I myself make at home(I am of hispanic descent). It was dry and not seasoned, so I when the waitress comes to ask how the food was I asked her is the cook cuban(due to the fact that not one person in the restaurant is cuban or even hispanic), she stated no and that he went to a culinary school. I then stated he needs to get his money back. The food was dry not at all latin food. She did come back when she brought me the bill with an answer of I am sorry the Ropa Vieja is not like yours. I took offense to this considering I am latin and not one person there is latin. I then wrote the recipe, how to cook this dish I hope they utilize it.

Good beer, good food... Great Nachos. I have always sat at the bar and service was great. I think the bad reviews expect too much. This is a bar with good food. If you want a expensive meal with a wine list; you will be happier some other place.

The Sangria was good. The prices are high, but expected. The nachos where the worse I ever had. They laid them on the plate like a crust and put everything on top, so you had to dig the crust like nachos out from under the toppings. The outer nachos where burnt and the middle soggy. The BBQ chicken does not go with the rest of the toppings. Really, Havana.

The night I went, nothing went well. The service was awful, the appetizer tasted somewhat like a hotdog bisque, they charged me $1 for bread (BREAD!!) and the food took FOREVER! I ordered the paella and when it finally did come out, I'm convinced that no salt or any other seasoning had graced my bowl. It was dreadfully bland. Also, most of the mussles in my dish were dead and unopened. When my party got the check, it was split up incorrectly. Not a big deal except for the waitress complaining that she had to do it over again. Then she came back with the new checks, and they were still wrong. And to top it all off, they charged me $3 more than I had put down for my final total. Suffice it to say I'm never going back, and you shouldn't bother.
