Before I booked a cabin with this company, I read my fair share of reviews: which were all great. Let's put it this way, you have to experience some things for yourself. I spent a good month carefully picking out the perfect cabin for my boyfriend and I's stay. I called the day of our arrival and was told that we would be able to check in between 4 and 5 PM. We arrived about 3:30 and were told we'd need to wait for the cabin to be ready (as expected, that was fine.) We waited for 3 hours for our cabin and when we finally got there, the electricity was completely shot (some issue with the owner.) At this point, we were told that the only available cabin was an 8-bedroom, and that we would be moved in as soon as it was ready, at no extra charge to us. 3.5 hours later, our dinner reservations were cancelled, our cold groceries had been wasted and thrown out, and we were sitting back in the check-in office. We were told that we would be refunded for one of our nights as courtesy for the misunderstanding. At this point we were told that the 8-bedroom was not ready still and that we would be moved to a different, smaller cabin and that we would be moved from that cabin to the 8-bedroom the next night. We arrived at the smaller cabin about 10 PM. This cabin was nice and clean, but not as nice or as homey as the cabin I had so carefully picked out. However, we had gotten our money back for the night so I couldn't complain much. The next morning, we packed up our things and headed to Dollywood. About noon, I received a call that said that there was a problem with the 8-bedroom cabin and that we would be going to a 4-bedroom cabin that day instead. I was then e-mailed the directions and key codes. Upon arriving at this cabin, the door code did not work. After waiting for 20 minutes on the phone, I received the correct key code. However, once we got the door open the alarm starting blaring "INTRUDER, INTRUDER." Once again, we got in the car and drove to the office where we were given a new key code, and directions for the alarm system. Once we finally got settled in the new cabin, everything was wonderful. The cabin we stayed in that night was gorgeous and comfortable.
Let me just say that the ENTIRE time, the associates of this company were extremely friendly ad accommodating. I don't think it was their fault in this huge mix up, but it was still very frustrating and I felt the experience should be shared.

We stayed in the Wild Wild West cabin and checked in at the Pigeon Forge office. Our cabin was ready on time and was better than expected. We will be back but I'll make sure to get one of these cabins in the same area. We had two King sized bedrooms each with their own bathroom and shower and whirlpool tub. There was also a third half bath off the game room downstairs. After reading reviews I was worried we would have a messed up cabin so I prepared with bringing extra items. Sure a few lights were out and the hose to fill the hot tub on the deck was messed up but overall we had what we needed. The pool table and foosball table worked well and we had a blast. Each of the four televisions were about 32" but had their own DVD player and cable box. The vaulted ceilings with wooden beams were so pretty and each of the two levels had its own deck. Views of the woods and seeing each cabin in the area glowing with lights at night was even more fun. It was a steep paved road with lots of twists and turns and each cabin is about 10-20 feet from the next but once inside and on our deck we felt more secluded. We already want to come back and haven't left yet.

My family and I stayed at Mountain Memories last July, we had 10 in our party and the cabin was plenty big enough. I loved being up in the mountains but still had the convenience of the main parkway less than 5 minutes away. We made plenty of memories and loved being together as a family. That being said there were some downfalls to the cabin, first and foremost the roaches in the kitchen, they were everywhere and while we try to kill as many as we could, we learned to just keep all utensils, plates, my son's bottles and food in plastic baggies. Next the hot tub dials were broken so the temperature of the water was never hot, more like warm bathwater. Lastly, the housekeeping staff only left 4 towels for 10 people, after calling the front desk and requesting more, I was told they would send someone with more, this was at 4pm, at 10:30 pm a maintenence man showed up with three more. Overall, I loved our time in Tennessee and can't wait to go back, I overlooked the bad because I enjoyed time with family..

I have read SO MANY negative reviews concerning Gatlinburg Falls Resorts. I was nervous and prayed about the decision I had made to book with this company. But despite all of the negative reviews, we just got back on yesterday and WE had the BEST experience EVER!! From the time of check in until check out!!!! We had to wait to check in because the cabin was not ready, however we were given a late check out time due to the fact the cabin wasn't ready at check in. Each and every time I spoke with someone. Customer service was SUPERB!!!! The cabin was AWESOME!!!!! We will be going back for Thanksgiving!!!! Thanks Cabins of the Smoky Mountains for a GREAT experience!!!!

When I called to book a cabin, I specifically asked for a cabin with a pool inside the cabin. I asked for 4 nights. Upon receiving our confirmation email, we saw that we were booked for a cabin without a pool and for 3 nights. I immediately called when I noticed this error. The customer service rep placed me on hold twice, for at least 25 minutes of a 30 minute call. She informed me that the only thing they could do for me was add on another night(at my cost) and offer me 10% off. When I requested that they reschedule or switch our cabin, they said they could not. I was also informed by the customer service rep that she had talked to the rep who originally booked us and she booked that because there was access to a local pool(not what I asked for). I asked to speak to a manager, who also informed me he could do nothing for me. When I asked to speak to someone higher, he told me there was no one higher than him and he made all decisions. Since they were not willing to fix their employees mistake, I decided to take my business elsewhere. They do not refund your deposit, even when mistakes are made on their end. I will never book with a company who treats their customers so poorly.
