02/21/2014 3:11 amNever eat nepal food but this restaurant was great! I went on monday for the first time and have been back 3 times this week. It's well hidden on sherwood, passed by it for years and didn't even know it was there. For that reason it is not terribly busy. Real nepalese family owns it, which tells you it is authentic. I would recommend this restaurant. |

07/12/2013 8:45 pmI thought nobody could mess up mo:mo but the cook of The Himalayas Restaurant can make any delicacy the worst food in the world! Looks like they never went out to eat! Who gives dal and call it vegetable soup with mo:mo? They throw bamboo shoots in hot tap water with a pinch of salt and call it "Tama Soup". They greet their customer with a dry "hi" - no smile, no welcome. If it was an underpaid worker, I would understand, but they are the owners. They don't aim at making their customers come back. Anyone who tried their first Indian/Nepali food at this restaurant will never eat Indian/Nepali food. I ordered 3 plates mo:mo and told them will be there in 30 min. We still had to wait 15 min. at the restaurant even though we were the only customers. They do business like they are the only restaurant in a country side (village). Americans have choices from all over the world. You are not gonna succeed here with such tasteless food and cold customer services. There is a restaurant in Houston, Texas, owned and run by Nepali people- The Cuisine of India. Go get some training from them and STOP defaming Nepal! |

02/04/2013 12:39 amThis is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Food was good , decor was good but supply of food was scanty and every time we have to ask for it. The owners kids playing in the restaurant dining area and crying. Service is very poor and we have to ask the waiter every time even for the check. I would not recommend anyone to go this restaurant as it is ruining image of Indian cuisine. |

02/10/2009 8:13 pmI've only ever been for dinner, so I don't know what the buffet is like. What I *can* tell you, though, is that their Naan is excellent, and that I broadly enjoy the Nepali cuisine more than I do Indian food. Actually I've discovered that I like goat meat a lot. I know, it sounds weird, but it'd better than you'd think. |
