House Of Hunan Restaurant, Lincoln, Nebraska Restaurant Details

I tried this restaurant for the first time today. I purchased one dinner entree (Peanut Butter Chicken) and an order of Crab Rangoon (6 pieces). My total for this order was $15.79, which is - in my opinion - very high considering the quality of food I received.

Several pieces of the chicken were either chewy or mostly gristle, and the texture of the crab rangoon made them seem somewhat stale.

On top of all this, I tried calling the restaurant three times prior to visiting to try and place a takeout order. The phone rang for over a minute each time - I gave up on each call because it was clear no one was going to answer.

In conclusion, my first impression of House of Hunan was expensive, mediocre chinese food. I've had much better for half the price, so it's doubtful I'll be going back.

Their Vietnamese food is authentic and really awesome compared to many other pho restaurants, not to mention it's really cheap. The people are friendly too.

I will never go back to this house of hunan on 48th. I am so pissed, this was the most bland,left over cashew chicken I have ever tasted! Not only was the cashew chicken bland, the crab ragoon was disgusting, and the egg roll had no flavor. If its a rush the restaurant is in, they just need to close... Food was terrible.

I really liked this place back when the Blockbuster was still open and the old Hy Vee was making the whole area more business.

Seems the closing of the hub has taken a toll on their quality.

Food does not stand out from the crowd as it once did. Even 5 years ago the food was much better. Not bad, just used to be much much better.

I only ordered carry out, and they were fine over the phone and during pickups every time, no problems there.

Horrible place!! It sounds like a Chinese restaurant but it's actually a Vietnamese pho restaurant. It's family-owned so the waiters and waitresses there are very, very RUDE!! They never care about their service or the food quality. We ordered different types of pho noodles, but they served the wrong ones. We were so upset and tried to argue with them. One old lady suddenly became very rude and started to yell at us. She said it was all our fault but not her mistake because we didn't speak clear. We were also charged twice for the same pho and the worst thing is that we found hairs in our food!!! The rice dishes taste like shit... What a horrible place to eat! Never go there again!!
