Such a unique place with great staff and awesome treats of all types!

(This is a review of the tea shop aspects only, not the massage. I went there about a month ago, and just found the notes I'd written down.) Quiet place, though the music (Asian instrumental) was a bit louder than necessary. Odd clash of decor - folding screens with bamboo images, but unstable glass tables and white plastic chairs. Friendly staff. Chai was very poor (weak, but too much ginger, and tons of cinnamon sprinkled on top). Perhaps chai was not the right choice for an Asian-themed place. Only a few tables, and one outlet. Felt vaguely like I was violating the spirit of the place by opening a laptop.

Love this place. Great selection of teas at a good price. It's a great relaxed atmosphere (I haven't tried any of the foot soaks or massages) with a friendly staff that's very helpful with narrowing down your tea choices. The food isn't the fastest to arrive, so don't necessarily expect to grab a quick bite to eat, but the small plates are quite tasty. Great place for a slow, relaxing morning with a good book.

House of Steep is a great place to grab a bite to eat, a hot drink (tea or coffee, but try the tea, it is fabulous), and visit with a friend. But for the best experience, try a foot soak! So relaxing, in the sanctuary in the back. The awesome staff adds hot water midway through so it is really wonderful. It is a great treat to bring someone there for the first time and watch her reaction to how nice it really is!

I went in to House of Steep while my wife was doing yoga across the street. This is a nice small store with super friendly staff. They have a wide variety of teas to choose from and even have my favorite - Jasmine Pearl! They do offer massages to go along with your tea, but I just stuck with a cup of Jasmine Pearl. The flavor is similar to Teaism that I like a lot!

They are a bit pricey but the quality of their teas justifies the price!
