Cocktails were amazing. Staff courteous but absolutely stayed out of your way when you didn't need them. Food hit the spot and I really like the ambience. To skip the tough to get reservations you can show up early and look for a seat at the bar. Enjoy!

After waiting enthusiastically to have another excellent dining experience at one of Ethan Stowell's restaurants I was underwhelmed by our dining experience on Friday night on too many counts. First, the noise in the restaurant must have made it difficult for our waitress to hear us well causing two drink orders to be incorrectly filled. Second was calamari plate that tasted of ammonia. The waitress "asked" if we want it taken away rather than responding proactively where potentially bad seafood was indicated. Several of the other plates were surprisingly salty (even to a salt lover like me) including the scallops, the pork and the calamari. When food is "salted" for the clients( rather than putting salt on the table) it needs to be done with a judicious hand. Finally after looking forward to finishing with fresh cannoli's I was once more disappointed (possibly because of the saltiness of the previous plates) to find the cannoli cream flavorless and the texture heavy.
After reading so many rave reviews and talking to many people that have had a good meal at How To Cook A Wolf I can only surmise that this was an extraordinarily off night for the kitchen. However, after spending close to two hundred dollars for dinner I can definitively say that I would not be quick to return nor to recommend that experience to someone else.

Their gnocchi is outstanding. The menu is seasonal so repeat visits are rewarded with new surprises. Nice atmosphere, not too formal yet it has a nice upscale feel.

I love eating here. The staff is friendly and the food is always amazing. The menu is updated often but you will always find great salads, bread, meats, charcuterie and pasta. Reservations are recommended but the bar is for walk ins.
