I have ordered food from Hunan's Restaurant since the 1990s, but customer loyalty counts for nothing to the manager. I had guests over at the house and thought I would entertain them to some Chinese take-out and placed the order. When the driver arrived he was apologetic before I even paid him because he had forgotten the rice. One of my guests went to his house down the street and made jasmine rice - which was perfect. After forgiving the driver and giving him a tip anyway, since we all make mistakes, two of us reacted to a foul taste with the won-ton soup. I called the manager and told her about our experience, she was not going to compensate me for the soup unless I drove the unused soup to her. I remarked how disrespectful her request was, especially, when I didn't require the driver to get the rice he had forgotten. I didn't even realize this until I got off the phone with the manager after the first call. What a joke. She would rather lose a customer, who will tell other neighbors who orders from the as well instead of doing the right thing. One expensive bowl of soup...for them.

Overall good experience. I don't see myself becoming a regular here but it is a place I would definitely have in mind when I'm craving some good chinese food at a reasonable price.

PROS:
1. The Wonton Soup was Splendid. I'm usually very critical when ordering Wonton Soup from new restaurants but I'm glad I ordered it here at Hanans.
2. The quantity of the food is actually very impressive. These guys surely are not scantily dishing out plates in the kitchen. If I hadn't been as starving as I was by the time I ate, I know I couldn't have finished my food in one sitting because many of my coworkers that were with me couldn't finish theirs.
3. I really enjoyed how quickly the food came. I was actually surprised at how soon our waiter came back to our table with all 11 of the dishes that my coworkers and I ordered ready for us.

CONS:
1. I didn't enjoy how big their ginger cuts were. It is not pleasant for me to actually bite into a piece of pure ginger and their rather large pieces that were mixed into my orange chicken hindered me from eating my food freely. This is highly subjective, as other people may enjoy large ginger cuts, but I didn't. Not a reason to totally disregard this place however.
2. Their fried rice had a very nice, rich color to it and was cooked to the perfect texture! Only issue was that it was very bland. Thank you for looking out for hypertension, but I was really looking forward to savory rice to accompany my sweet chicken.
