I have been coming to Hong Fong's for as long as I can remember. I have never had a bad experience in terms of service or food. What I will say is that it isn't like every other run of the mill Chinese restaurant; they are unique, have decent prices for the quantity of food served, and are original. It should be apparent that the restaurant is not bad due to the fact that it has been enjoyed by many people in San Antonio for over 40 years.

Before it was worth the drive and to look forward to go back. Last weekend my wife and I made the drive and got odd tasting drinks and greasy egg roll and shrimp. Right away they assumed we wanted over sweet tea and brought us two cups but i asked for water and the water tased dirty. Rice looked old, chicken didnt tast right and nothing looked freash. Food was not worth it and we will add it to our list of places we will never go back to.

Ok first, this is march 2016, and don't believe any reviews about this restaurant being good. 0stars. This would be a great restaurant if you want the most ghetto Chinese food ever. Im not sure if what I ate was real beef or rubber. The rice is yellow, and extremely unhealthy. When I ordered they brought me my food in exactly 50 seconds. Hmmm.... Scetchy. Would not recommend this to anyone.

I ordered take out. After getting home, I found the Buddha Delight I ordered with tofu was without tofu and delight The brown sauce could have been anything, as it was basically tasteless. The steamed rice was one big sticky ball I could pick up with my fork. The Lo Mein was just as bad. My friend ate half of hers, and simply threw the rest out.

The service was almost non-existent. No one would look me in the eye, and I'm sure it was because they knew how bad the food was.

You get what you pay for. Low price, low quality. The only good thing I can say is that the portions were generous.

Place looks dirty. Ordered fried won tons and got stale and cold won tons. I asked for fresh won tons and got the same won tons back just refried! They were horrible and dripping with grease! Lemon chicken were more like chicken tenders and the lemon sauce was not lemon sauce don't know what it was. I don't recommend this place.
