Hungry Monk, Chandler, Arizona Restaurant Details

Food:

Good beer selection, decent food, but the place smelled like the old bleach water rags they wipe tables with.

The food was mediocre pub grub but the service was one of the worst we have ever received. We visited the restaurant during happy hour, the restaurant was pretty much empty, yet the server never acknowledged our existence until the manager/owner saw us trying hard to get her attention. We were about to leave when she shows up at our table. It would have been enough of a sign for us to leave but we decided to give it a try. They had all you can eat boneless wings but what good is the deal if the server will never stop at the table to ask if you would like more. Needless to say I was over charged for 10 wings that were not even wings, it was chicken cubes fried and sprinkled with dry rub. The bad experience didn't stopped there, our server never refilled the drink glasses, the kid's meal came with a drink, she never asked if my child would like to have something other than the water we ordered. The kid's meal also came with a scoop of ice cream, which we only saw in the print as she never brought any to the table. I was infuriated enough to talk to the manager but chose to leave instead as the server never came back to our table after the meal was paid for and I was not going to sit around to flag her down so that I could request to speak with someone who could show some hospitality.

Food:

Not much to like about the Hungry Monk in Prescott. To begin, we waited approximately one hour for our food – – three hamburgers. My burger, which I ordered medium well, was more like medium rare, the bun order was incorrect , the tomatoes were not ripe, the catchup bottle the waitress brought was empty, and there were no published beer prices on the menu. The venue is loud and cramped and it was virtually impossible to hold a conversation, and the air conditioning didn't appear to be working very well either… Not a good experience and most likely will not return. Mediocre, at best...

Food:

This place is crap. My family went on a Monday for all you can eat boneless wings. It took all night to get my order right, I had 2 orders come out that were incorrect, and when it takes 30 minutes to get each plate of food, that is a whole lot of waiting for disappointment. Everyone got bored of waiting for their food and were ready to go home early. As if THAT wasn't bad enough our waitress failed to mention that Monday is kids eat free. You would think walking in with two kids would be reason enough to mention that it was kids eat free night, but apparently not. We wound up paying for our kids because we were simply not informed of the specials (which I found on the bathroom wall on the way out). The sauces were inconsistent at best, some batches were flat out gross, and the teriyaki was to salty to eat, we all tasted it. Don't waste your money.

Food:

This is one of my favorite places to hang out. The food is great and they always have some fun specials on the menu. Tons of craft beer on tap- enough to impress my dad who really considers himself a *beer connoisseur*.
The staff is wonderful (shout out to Marcy!). Trivia nights are AWESOME (although I may be biased on that point). It can get pretty busy at times, so show up before the rush!
