Ive been frequenting this Ihop on and off for about 15 years, until now. On April 3rd 2014 at about 2:00 - 2:30 a.m., I wanted to place an order over the phone. I dialed the number, & the phone just rang. So I called back, and the phone still rang with no one answering. I proceded to the restaurant with my cell phone still attempting to reach ihop on 103rd st. When I got to the restaurant, their phone was not ringing. I asked the cook (not the waitresses). why nobody answered the phone ? He looked at the phone and noticed the phone was not on its base properly. He proceeded to place the phone on its base the right way.
So, I grabbed a menu that was placed on the unattended desk in their lobby. 10 minutes passed, when a waitresses passed me up immediately to serve a couple that had just walked in.
I immediately, had to make myself be known that I had been ready to order 10 minutes ago. (NO SEVERANT ASKED TO TAKE MY ORDER OR HAD I BEEN SEVERED ALREADY, OR IF I WAS READY TO ORDER.)
After they knew about me, then I was asked to be served. I placed my order, then waited for my order to come to me which took another 20-30 minutes. I was so upset by this point that I asked to see a manager. I told the manager exactly what happened. The manager didn't offer me any kind of reconciliation other than he was sorry. I told him that that was not enough & I left my order in their lobby.
This ihop is generally ok. But, most or all of the former sevants has quit for what ever reason recently. Seems as though the new empolyees are more interested in who looks like they will receive a better or bigger tip from. Its to bad, I always give the proper gratuity if I sit in or order out. Beware of these employees.

I visited this location on Sunday around 1045. I was told by the hostess that I would have a 25 minute wait and with it being the time and day it was, that was expected. This location has NO ELECTRONIC PAGERS so people are litterally forced to stand outside. There were children sitting on the floor on the inside and outside of the building. 25 minutes later I came back inside and was rudely told by the hostess Renee, that it would be another 20-25 minutes. No empathy no apology, just "this is how it is every weekend, thats why I told you at least 30 minutes" which she had not. You would think they would be prepared for the crowd or at least have figured out some kind of system to not have people waiting like dogs outside. This time I went and sat on the trunk of my car and made a phone call went back twnety minutes later only to find out when I went back that they called my name already and coldy told by the manager Penny that I have to wait in the front of the building, again no apology. While I was waiting (standing in the breezeway in front of the door in february) again, I witnessed Renee calling someone's name out the front door which was a slight openning of the door and calling the name one time. She then said to herself "oh well" and went back to the front. I was finally seated and recieved excellent service from my server, but this place needs serious help. I will be driving across town from now on. ELECTRONIC PAGERS WOULD DO WONDERS IF YOU CANNOT CREATE A SYSTEM FOR A WEEKLY CROWD AFTER ALL OF THIS TIME.

I thought of leaving earlly to eat there, because my work is near there, then i remembered, i would have to hire a armed gaurd to watch my truck and tools.
