Ihop, San Antonio, Texas, American Restaurant Details

Food:

Decent fluffy pancakes, eggs came out a little runny but I dealt with it. Somewhat friendly staff. I always seem to get mediocre service at ihop, I don't know what it is but it seems to be ingrained into the establishment regardless of which chain restaurant you go to.

Food:

We waited 15 minutes to have out order taken. 40 minutes later we walked out without getting our order. I'm not sure if it was the way the restaurant is run, but we could see other guests having just as bad an experience as the one we had. We weren't treated rudely so I'll give the staff that much credit.

Food:

I won't be eating here ever because of the other reviews I read. I know ihops are known to be dirty and full of incompetence but I do not like the way the manager treated the guy who found a nose hair.

That manager is a total fool and a loser. For someone to say that nose hairs don't just fall out is absurd or you could interpret what he meant as in "an employee must've been picking his nose while preparing the food because they don't fall out on their own"

Food:

Went to this establishment with a party of 10. We were told by the hostess that we would be seated in about 10 minutes so we all decided to stay, after about 30 minutes an numerous other people being seated about 6 people from our party decided to go elsewhere. Myself and 3 others decided to stay, big mistake. We were seated after about 5 minutes, our waiter tended to us with ok service. After we waited for our food which was warm and seemed good we all began to eat.. while I was eating my food I noticed a hair in my food, it looked like a nose hair to me and others at the table. I called the waiter over and he also saw the hair and said he would send the manager over to us, after about 10 minutes of waiting for the manager he finally came out to speak to me and looked really dirty. I explained to him what I had found in my food and he said it was physically impossible to have a nose hair in my food because nose hair doesn't just fall out, ok I guess he went to med school before managing IHOP, anyways after he explained this to me he asked me if I wanted more food I explained to him that I would not be eating anything else from there and said how about comping my meal and he said well I had already eaten alot of it so apparently saying I just wanted a free meal which I was not looking for but figured I still had half my meal left and not going to eat it so I was not going to pay for it. He argued with me as he was walking away where other customers could hear over a 10 dollar meal, which was very unprofessional. I will never eat here again and will make sure to let everyone I know about this situation. The manager that worked on 1/24 at about 4am was a horrible manager and should not be in food service. Very bad customer service. They did although comp the meal for me but not without putting up a fight for that 10 dollar meal, but putting up a fight for the hair in my food and being very unprofessional they have lost a customer for life not including the countless people I let know of this problem.

10 stars out of 5! I wish I could give it more stars! Best IHOP and just restaurant in general experience I have EVER had! We went at 10 pm and there was the sweetest waitress there to attend us! She was so quick on checking up on us and when my dad had downed 3 cups of water in a short time she brought him two more at the same time so he wouldn't have to wait. She was very attentive and brought all the things we needed before the food even came so we didn't have to ask her for anything. She gave us such sweet compliments as well and was just incredibly nice overall! Fast service, attentiveness, AND compliments?! I couldn't ask for more.
