02/17/2015 10:26 amWithout a doubt some of the most authentic Italian food I've had in SF. No need to go to North Beach when you can find delicious homemade pasta and classic sauces in Hayes Valley. Prices are moderate and you'll certainly feel like you're in the middle of Florence. |

12/21/2014 1:55 amhomemade pasta is official. bolognese needed more oomph (red sauce), but the fettuccine il borgo is the real deal. forget about the cursory service and just enjoy the food. capeesh ?! |

12/15/2014 12:14 pmWe went here for dinner before a show in the Civic Center area. We were incredibly disappointed with the customer service and unsanitary restaurant conditions. There were ants everywhere! All over the walls and tables. Not only this but the staff were exceedingly rude. I would certainly not recommend this when there are many, many other wonderful restaurants in Hayes Valley. Ick. Just gross. |

07/12/2014 10:17 pmThe food here was authentic but uninspiring. The dishes were true to a traditional Italian meal, but there was something off about the place. The Italian woman that works there didn't seem to care if you spoke Italian to her. Overall you're better off paying that much money elsewhere. |

03/06/2014 12:39 amOwned by a notoriously sassy older Italian man, this place makes the very best ravioli. It's a quirky sort of Italian restaurant, the type with wrapped wine bottles on the table and murals of wine leaves on the walls, but the food is not messing around. Give this throwback a chance! |
