01/24/2014 6:26 amFantastic Chinese food. In my opinion the best in Madison by a landslide. I live in Oregon and don't get a chance to eat here often, but when I do it's always delicious and always reasonably priced. I've tried many other Chinese food places and none of them come close to measuring up. This place has basically ruined all other Chinese places for me. So Good!!!! |

09/15/2013 5:51 pmGot a simple take-out order of pork fried rice and 2 egg rolls. The egg rolls were dry, unseasoned and had no taste to them. The pork fried rice was virtually not fried at all, was also unseasoned and vegetables that tended to be closer to mush. Although the serving size was ample, the food wasn't up to the quality that I have experienced at other Chinese restaurants from California, New York, North Carolina and Louisiana. I'm only here on a short work assignment, but I definitely won't be going back for more. The 2 stars is probably a generous rating. |

07/06/2012 9:39 pmEverything about the Imperial Garden was just OK in my mind. Out of the food, service and decor, nothing stood out as even "good". Most everything was bland and I don't see myself coming here again. |

04/23/2012 12:17 amWow! I'm really surprised about the negative reviews. My mom and I have eaten here twice recently and I've gotten take out as well. I work near the west side location and love it, so we decided to try the east side (closer to home). Our food has always been fantastic and the service attentive without being overbearing. Are you confused with another place? This food is good, higher quality than most chinese places in the area. The decor is kind of a trip, but in a fun way. Get a booth, they're comfortable and private. There'a review complaining about being charged for hot tea... seriously? What restaurant doesn't charge for hot tea? Also, when you order tea at Imperial Garden you get a personal pot with loose tea. It's quite wonderful. Be sure to let it steep, they make it just for you. |
