02/07/2015 11:44 amGood acoustics. Les Miserables was phenomenal. Terribly expensive though (drinks), but if you're going to splurge, you might as well do it here. |

11/21/2014 3:48 pmWonderful old style architecture theatre. It reminds you of broadway in times square 40 years ago. Really cozy smaller space that really immerses you in the broadway show that you are watching. Saw Les Miz here and i really got the essence of the show. Love the acoustics and seating views in the theatre. |

09/22/2014 9:53 amhaving been to several shows over the years, i would rate the imperial theatre, 9-12-2014, as my worst experience. the show would have been much better if the seating would have been more comfortable. At 6 foot tall there was no way to sit straight up in my seat. i was seated at an angle to the seat in front of me that by after the intermission i just wanted the show to be over and so i could leave the confines of my seat. there was no way i could have enjoyed that show that evening. if the two for one offering for the tickets was to discourage anyone coming back , you succeeded. |

09/18/2014 2:01 pmI came for the 2014 Les Mis revival, and while the music and musical itself is as stirring as ever, it had the feel of a stripped back, low cost production. (Spoilers!) The revolving stage has gone, to be replaced by digital projection, and the staging and seating were both cramped. Fantine and Eponine were both annoyingly poppy and nasal, but the perfectly cast Ramin Karaloo stole the show. Especially when ripping his shirt off to reveal a six pack visible from the back of the orchestra... |
