Really dirty place! I got a fly in my water and the manager did not want to help me. I'm not gonna come again worst service ever!

I'll start off by saying that I have never left a review for a restaurant beofre, however this place was SO GOOD I just had to tell people about it.

My sister and I were very hesitant about giving the place a try, but it came highly recommended by a friend. It doesn't look like much. The outside signs have several lights that are burnt out and the inside decor looks like someone took an industrial-style bar and overlaid a bunch of asian themed items.

So, again, hesitant to give it a try but then the food came. I ordered two rollls and they were so enormous the plate was over a foot in diameter and piled high with food. The presentation was great with decorative lettuce, carrots and an Orchid flower! At every other asian place I've gone to I have avoided the bright pink pickled ginger because I couldn't bring myself to eat something that oddly colored. However, at Ishi they pickle the ginger themselves in-house so it was a normal ivory ginger color and tasted amazing!!! I could only eat half of what I ordered so next time I go back I plan on only getting one sushi roll.

2014: This place may not look like much, but it's fantastic. Our party loved everything we had. The sushi rolls we had were great (eel rolls, calamari rolls, shrimp rolls, etc.) as well as the cooked food (we had chicken and broccoli). Yum! Just thinking about it makes me want to head down there tonight. This place doesn't have a great atmosphere or exterior, but the food makes up for it.
Update Jan 2015: The fried gyoza is the best I've ever had, and I love gyoza so I get it at every Japanese restaurant we go to.

This has been my favorite restaurant for over a decade. Everything I've ever had hear has been flawlessly delicious, every single time. The staff is unfailingly friendly, always remembering me and my girlfriend and what we order. Even after moving away from the area, we still make the drive there regularly. Just, incredible.

Food:

Lunch. Not busy. Restaurant feels a little dated. Sushi bar was a little dirty(look at tip jar). Ordered water with lemon but got lime. Not a big deal. Wait staff was fast friendly and efficient. Food was delivered quickly. Ginger salad dressing tasted too sweet with not much ginger flavor. Nagari sushi tasted fresh and portions were very large.
