I have never been disappointed, so I can't attest to their responsiveness if you complain. I don't go on Friday or Saturday nights, so I cannot attest to the behavior issues other patrons might exhibit. But for lunch or a weeknight dinner, I can say it's always been comfortable and family-appropriate when I was there.

I LOVE the salsa and chips. They don't taste like they came off the back of a truck. The portions are very generous (we always bring home a lot of left-overs) and the price is reasonable for our family of 5. Because of the portion sizes, I end up getting the cheaper a la carte item and farm some beans and rice off my kids' plates. Even the kids' plates are loaded! We've never eaten anything there we didn't like.

I don't classify the food as 'fresh' (like fresh from the farmer's market or fresh like a fusion restaurant) but it is not what I consider industrial food (canned and over-processed). It's somewhere in the middle. Fresh salsa, fresh veggies on the fajitas, fresh salads, But it's more traditional (read 'starches and meat') Mexican, which is what I expect.

Please PLEASE don't ever go to this restaurant. I went to this restaurant this weekend and ordered a fajita; NOT only did it take them almost 45 minutes for it to come to my table, but while I was eating, I found a piece of hard plastic in my food!! When I went to the manager about it, his exact words were "It happens! This will not be the first time. We buy our food from vendors, and the food comes pre-wrapped in plastic so this is not unusual. He DID NOT ONCE apologize to me!" This restaurant does not have good service, and it's very risky taking a chance eating here!

My wife and I went to Ixtapa's in East Chase tonight (July 6th, 2012). Food was good, service was great. But there was a group of 4 3 or 4 booths from us that was so loud and rowdy that my wife and I couldn't enjoy our meal in fact our server couldn't hear our order. It was not a family, it was 4 adults not teenagers.
Even though its a family resturant and you expect a certain leave of noise, excessive loudness from nearly intoxicated customers crossed the line.Tonight was our last dinner at that location. We like to have a quiet meal out, and that is not the place.
