08/12/2015 5:54 pmWe were a group of 16 visiting Sand Diego. Made a reservation at Jack & Guilio's for dinner. We had been there last year, dined outside and had a lovely dinner. Anyway this year we all arrived and were seated, got water, drinks and it was downhill from there. After our orders were taken, we waited 1 1/2 hours and still were not served...we complained and were told it would be ready soon, that there was another large party there also? Whose problem should that be???? One couple had to leave because her husband is handicapped and in a wheelchair and could not stay any longer...when she asked them to call a Taxi to go back to our hotel, they told her to go out on the street and flag one down....how appauling!!!! Finally our food came...the waiter came flying in delivering our meals. Out of 16 people only 4 said that their meal was good......one sent hers back and didn't order anything else...and the rest ate hardly anything of their meals.....When we complained again, they acted like they really didn't care what was happening.....never an apology, no excuse, no "we're sorries." |

08/04/2015 1:41 pmWe have been going to Giulio's for over 30 years and once again they do not fail to provide a 5 star dining experience in Northern Italian dishes. By all means if you have not been here before try the Scampi alla Giulio or one of the many other specialties they offer. We had a wonderful waiter Juan who made our dining experience even better! Of course it is always a pleasure seeing Jack! |

05/16/2015 2:28 amIf I was given an option to not select a star I definitely would. By far the worst experience I've had in San Diego as a tourist I look at each restaurants reviews. I wish someone would have warned me of the terrible customer service. Let me start off by it was my 4 year old daughter, my husband, and myself looking forward to having some Italian dinner, so when we walk in the gentlemen looked at us as if we did not belong in his restaurant second he asked us to wait and had a young lady come and seat us. After being seated we |

11/21/2014 10:48 pmParty of twelve. Whole experience was delightful. Had been before. Get anything seafood, you won't be disappointed, (get the ciappinno). They have a flat rate wine menu, 8.5 per glass, which I really appreciate; all options were very good. Pasta is perfectly cooked, and service is excellent. |

09/10/2015 9:00 amFans "have been coming here for years and have yet to be disappointed" by the "top-notch" pastas and "otherwordly" scampi at this "old-school" Italian "joint" in tourist-heavy Old Town; bills can border on "pricey", but service gets high marks and outdoor seating is a perk. |
