Jack In The Box, San Antonio, Texas, Hamburgers Restaurant Details

Food:

It was 5pm and the only staff present was Luis and his buddy, whose name I didn't catch, were getting slammed. The drive thru was full, the dining room had several guests and yet Luis was on top of everything. My order was somewhat unusual, with substitutions and special requests and yet, Luis made sure it was perfect, prompt and my experience was exemplary. All in all, it was both a pleasant surprise and heartwarming experience all too rare these days.

Food:

Upon walking in I noticed that this restaurant is part of the gas station. There is no doorway or barrier separating the gas station from the restaurant. I had to use the restroom and this Jack in the Box shares their restroom facilities with the gas station. The restroom was disgusting. I walked back to get my food without touching anything. Noticed that the soda fountain was sitting underneath a giant rusting, moldy and outdated ice machine or some other contraption. The shake tasted okay, the ketchup and mayo was over done on my sandwich and I then received food poisoning. Do not eat here or get food from here. Thankfully I didn't have that much to eat. The manager Ed Rodriquez told me that food poisoning takes 12 hours but the scorching pain my my stomach disagrees. Health inspector has been notified. Clean your restaurant and clean the restrooms.

I am literally writing this review while waiting for my order. Had to wait in drive thru for about 20 minutes. Worst jack in the box I've ever gone to... Literally. I would give this place 0 stars if I had the option.

Around midnight is a terrible time to get anything from this location. Service is super slow and the restrooms could make someone vomit.

Rolled through drive-thru at 1:35 - 1:45ish in the am on a Saturday night. No long line or waiting period for food, which was great since I had to drive so far to get to this location. Rittiman location was swamped, Walzem store was closed, which is my usual J in the B, so I drove about 30 miles round trip to this one.
The employees were courteous and friendly and overall it was a pleasant visit...

Until I got home and found food missing from my order. Grrrr, I wasn't driving back over to pick it up either. The gas prices out weighed my appetite. So I put in a call to let them know about their error. The shift leader told me to bring my receipt and they'd replace it. Funny because I didn't receive a receipt from the cashier. So I got the cashiers name and was asked to call back in the morning to speak to the manager. So that is what I will do. Mistakes happen just some are more costly then others. So make sure you check your bags before leaving that window!
