Great service. Very nice flavor. Northern Indian. Loved the keema naan!!! Don't leave without having a flying horse and rice pudding :)

It was horrible!!! It's going to be a long narration..

Attempt #1 -

I was staying at the doubletree in charlotte and was craving for indian food. I ordered at 6:15pm and they promised to deliver in 30 minutes. After multiple follow ups and several confusing responses, the guy delivered at 8:30pm. Ya - 2:15 minutes later!! I opened quickly as i was starving..and guess what - It was the wrong delivery! I am a vegetarian and they had delivered chicken masala and some other random items!

I was furious and called the hotel to explain. Requested them to deliver my food asap due to their mess up. They simply said it will take another hour and they cant do anything about it. I finally gave up and had food somewhere else as it was getting late.

Attempt #2
2 days later, I thought "let me give them another try. Maybe the other day was just bad for them.". I called in and the same guy who took my order the other day picked up. He immediately recognized my voice and said I will give you 10$ discount due to the very bad experience last time and we will also make sure to deliver in 45 minutes. I was happy with that and went ahead with the order (This is the only guy who can speak English at the restaurant. You are screwed if anyone else attends the call). I get a call in 15 minutes and its now a different guy (couldn't understand all he said). He says "we cannot deliver in 45 minutes..thats just not possible. Its going to take 1 1/2 hrs. Do you still want to go ahead?". I was like - "Ya it already 15 mins since I ordered..so ok". He then says your total is 23 (so no discount). I explained to him that the guy who took the order gave me $10 discount and he says these exact words "Mam you cant keep complaining. We gave you money back the other day. People place big orders and we mess that up. Even they don't complain so much". I tried hard and remained calm and said "I am not complaining sir but the other guy offered me $10 discount" - He just wouldn't give me the discount and scolds me for asking it! As you can imagine, I was completely frustrated at this point and just canceled. Never again! I have eaten there before, the food isnt too great either....I wanted Indian food and that's the only one that delivers to hilton doubletree.

Owner is only waiter, he is there all day everyday. I deliver from here and he is always courteous and polite, i cant speak for everyone, but this place treats you better than leroy fox

This place used to be a lot better than it is now. Now the guy running the place treats customers very badly. He refuses to make certain foods even when there is still plenty of time left before closing. He has raised the price twice in the last 6 months. He raised the price once several months ago, and now forces everyone to pay a 10% tip on top of that, regardless of party size. He has no waiters, so the tip is not going to the waiters its just going to the owner since he does all the waiting. Its his way getting more money from you. Also the food is still the same as its always been, in fact now the is less food on the buffet than there used to be, and the price much higher. Tipping is a gratuity and optional. If the service is bad then I should have to leave a tip, and trust me the service is bad. The owner is rude to his customers. He should be grateful to whomever eats there. Do not eat here.

Service: 10/10. Excellent service and always smiling face. Food is also great. Chicken Bhuna is my favorite. All North Indian menu items are nice but not the South Indian Food items though. The home delivery service is also excellent. Always on time and around 30/40 min sharp. I have never dined-in though.
