I've eaten at Jaleo six times over the past three months, and each time the food was delicious, the service phenomenal, and the price reasonable. I've been there for business meetings, for family, and, sadly, for a private event following my mother's memorial service. Quite a few of my guests have become regulars after eating at Jaleo.

I strongly recommend the flan - it is the best I have ever eaten.

Nope nope nope!! Absolutely no!I will not be going back....coming here made me really miss the AUTHENTIC tapas place that use to be on king street. This place was just sad. It was entirely too loud and bright the server didn't know her ass from her elbow... She was just really rude.. Don't even get me started on the tortilla espanola... If I wanted scrambled eggs with potato I could have easily made it that at home. A tortilla espanola is suppose to be thick and fluffy. Not this half-assed disappointment. And you may think... How would she know she doesn't know what she's talking about. Ohh but I know,my dads side of the family is from Spain and a grew up eating these dishes. Please do not insult Spanish food by calling this overpriced crap "authentic"

Bacon wrapped dates were great. Best place around for Paella. Can be a bit pricey, but well worth the money

For me, tapas is peasant food. Fresh, simple, and not ferociously expensive. There were a variety of nice tapas places around DC over the years. Jaleo has good food, but it's not for me.

Expensive, at least for my taste. If you are hungry & on a budget, go elsewhere. The food was good though, I got this steak tapas off the lunch menu & pretty darn good. We were a party of 5 & just shared or tapas with the help of the bread, maybe had our waiter bring bread about 5 or 6 times. The staff was also very polite & helpful, food tastes delicious but remember they are small plates.
