Food was ok and took a while to arrive to our table. Sushi was fairly good, but nothing very special. It was very standard Japanese food. Waiters and waitresses also took a while to attend to us, even though the restaurant was not packed at all.

Unfortunately I only have limited space to tell you how much the service sucked at this place. First off it took us nearly 10 minutes just to get tea and then another 10 minutes for the waiter to come back to take our initial order. When the sushi arrived it was ok quality but not the best I have actually had better made fresh at King Soopers.

We didn't see the waiter the entire time we were eating n about 10 minutes after we finished eating reflect him down as he was passing by to get another sushi menu. It took him another 5 to 10 minutes to get the menu to drop it off and then we didn't see him again I actually had to flag down a bus boy in order to get my order in.

Now this is where things get a little interesting! My sister noticed that the sushi chef was on his cell phone. One says call ended my sister mentioned to me "I wonder if he is going to wash his hands!" Lo and behold he never washed his hands and my sister had to actually go up to him to ask him to wash his hands before he touched a raw fish! I guess the only thing that we could actually agree upon was good is that we got the check quickly so that we could get out of there! I would never recommend this place again because it is way overpriced compared to the quality that you actually get.

One of my best sushi experiences was actually in superior off McCaslin Boulevard. A little place called Hana Japanese Bistro. This place actually has some of the best sushi you'll find anywhere within the Boulder area and it's fairly inexpensive compared to what you'd expect. It doesn't have that overpriced boulderesque 20% tax just for the luxury of eating among enlightened people.

I have been coming to Japango for 4 years. This last dining experience had me never willing to come back.

Service from the hostesses and waitress were poor and inattentive. In other words, they did not listen to us. We requested all-you-can-eat and we were sat out on the patio where we later learned that all-you-can-eat was not served there. We then had to wait longer for another table inside.

The service of our waitress was appalling. She has been working there ever since I started coming to the restaurant. After 4 years, I am so surprised she gave us beyond horrible service. She never came to check on us, took FOREVER to bring us our bill, or let us know why our food took near 40 minutes to come out!!!

The food was disgusting as well. The fish was murky and old. The sushi on the plate did NOT look appetizing at all. I never felt so nauseous trying to eat sushi, I'm serious. Since they charge you 50 cents per uneaten sushi, I tried finishing what I ordered, but it was so terrible I could not physically do it.

I never mean to write bad reviews, but this was noteworthy. I would be cautious coming here, especially for Tuesdays all-you-can-eat.

This has to be the classiest and yet most comfortable Japanese restaurants I've visited. The whole experience is top notch. From Pearl
street to the host/hostess to not a bad table in the house (unless you get the back patio). The serving staff and support staff are obviously well trained in fine dining but are casual enough you know that you are still in Boulder. The rest of the ambiance is incredible with one of the only private jelly fish tanks I've ever seen. This place is just ultra contemporary but will still look great in 10 years.

Now onto the food. I've had the pleasure of photographing several of their dishes which leaves me with a to go bag full of goodies. I've eaten here several times before meeting the owner and truly feel the only rating this restaurant can receive is 5 stars because it is doing everything right, at least in FOH. The quality of the food and ninja quietness of the bussers make me feel like the BOH has it together just as well. Excellent Job ******* you know how to run restaurants very well.

Went here for our anniversary. had to wait a bit but well worth it. The food and specialty drinks were delicious and the service was great. They have exclusive beers from stone which you cant get anywhere else too, couldn't have really asked for more.
