I came here on a Saturday night with two girlfriends before the ballet. We didn't have a reservation but we quickly found a lounge spot big enough for the three of us.

We ordered cocktails and food to share. I had the bee-side, which was delicious and refreshing with lemon and mead from the rooftop bee garden. We shared the avocado salmon toast, kale chips, fava bean salad, burger, and charcuterie plate.

Avocado/salmon toast - by far my favorite of the bunch. Just really perfectly done. Citrusy salmon, creamy avocado, crunchy toast.

Kale chips and goat cheese - really interesting dish. The kale chips weren't single leaf chips like I've seen before but seemed to be made from some kind of puree instead. They had the texture of a popped rice chip. They were delicious, and paired really well with the whipped goat cheese they were served with.

Fava bean salad - tasted like spring. The fennel was a great touch.

Burger - I didn't have any of the burger but the other two girls seemed to like it a lot, and the french fries served on the side were super crispy.

Charcuterie - pretty disappointing. Not a lot of meat, not particularly flavorful options, and the bread served with it overpowered the lighter flavors of the meat. Not something I'd order again.

Overall, this was a nice place to stop with solid food and drinks. On the pricy side, so not somewhere I'd go all the time, but a great option before a show.

This gem still makes my mouth water when i reminisce about my visit. My starter was the jardinière charcuterie. My main dish was the duck breast confit, and an order of duck fat potatoes. All were magic in my mouth. The staff and vibe were good, the food is the star attraction (as it should be). Worth the visit.

My wife and I enjoyed a trip to the restaurant during our honeymoon. The food was AMAZING (we chose the tasting menu), and our server was excellent as she helped ensure that we made it to our evening concert on time. Additionally, I must commend the fact that the restaurant includes a wonderful selection of nonalcoholic beverages, something my wife and I were able to really enjoy (she had a spritzer with juice and mint, and I had a wonderful vineyard grape juice). We would DEFINITELY recommend this place.

Everything was fantastic. Our waiter was very attentive and seemed to be a step ahead of our needs. The sommelier was quite knowledgable (as one would expect) and suggested the perfect wine that complimented both our meals. The food was delicious! It was such a special evening.

Civic Center ticket-holders "never miss a chance" for a pre-show dinner or nightcap at chef Traci des Jardins' "swanky" Hayes Valley "celebration" spot where "exquisite" French-Californian food, an "excellent wine cellar" and "über-attentive" service make for a true fine-dining experience; it's "fancy, but not at all stuffy", and though the tabs are decidedly high-end, the lounge menu and Monday night prix fixes are great buys.
