Dating back to the '30s, this Northeast "institution" evokes the "Rat Pack era" with an "old-fashioned" American "supper-club" setting and a "seasoned staff" that will "spoil you rotten", both the epitome of "character and style"; with a "huge menu" of "wonderful" (though somewhat "pricey") classics that suits "celebrating with family and friends" – especially in the "beautiful garden" where you can "pick your own trout out of the pond" – it is no wonder fans "hope dining like this never goes away."

One of the best sunday brunchs I have ever had. There was nothing that I tried that I didnt want seconds on! Excellent experiance!

The workplace reserved the second floor for our Holiday party and it was surprisingly nice; coat check, dining tables and a private bar. I can't say much for the 1st floor but the lighting and background music worked well to setup a pleasant atmosphere as we entered Jax Cafe.

Their patio is one of the best places to eat anywhere. I wish their food was better. The food seems to cater to their older clientele. Very little seasoning on any of their dishes. The mushroom side looks straight out of a can. Very spendy for mediocre steak dinner.

Every brunch or dinner I go to at Jax I am impressed. Fabulous food...great staff...awesome atmosphere. This is old school fine dining at its best.

My husband and I had our wedding and dinner reception at Jax. Not only was the event flawless, the staff was on top of everything and the food was excellent. I didn't have any issues brought to me by our guests. Everyone was just amazed!
